Hotel in paris

Breakfast was ok if you like only a cressont Roll and a French roll and juice. Had to wait a long time to be served. The rooms were small. No place to park. A parking guarge was provided but it was a long way away and hard to drag you luggage to and from. No place to store luggage. Had to leave room key everytime we left the hotel. Very poor english spoken. Would not stay their again. Very far from the center of town.

Made travel reservations 3 weeks prior to stay. Checked bags in at the front desk as the room was not ready. Traveled around Paris and returned at 10:30 pm to be told that the room was not available, but 'arrangements have been made right around the corner'. Right around the corner happened to be right around the corner from Gare du Nord (train station). This (at night time) seemed like the red light district and was not acceptable. Canceled reservations for the next night and went to another hotel, which I would recommend. To be fair with these ratings (had to rate), never set foot in the room, so I don't know about the conditions. It did seem like a decent (clean, quiet) enough hotel.

Wonderful little hotel with professional, friendly staff

The rooms are small--that's normal in France and in most of Europe and it adds to the experience, in our opinion. The staff was excellent, and in our five-night stay we became good friends with them and shared many jokes and smiles. They served an excellent breakfast of coffee, juice, and breads every morning. Overall a great experience and an unbeatable price. If you are snobbish, or think you need to stay in a palace, this isn't the place for you. If you need a friendly, comfortable place to sleep at night, and prefer to spend your money on seeing the sites in Paris and experiencing the incredible food, etc., then this is the place for you.

Looking for cheap accommodations in Paris near Gare du Nord and Sacré Coeur? Just steps away from Barbés-Rochechouart Metro Station and very close to Gare du Nord is Hotel Altona.

Rooms were average size and a bit worn; simple, but functional. Our room had a television and a bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower.

The location is good for metro availability, especially if continuing by train from Paris to other destinations. Hotel Altona is a two-star accommodation.
