To get to the hotel from Paris, follow Peripherique to Porte de la Chapelle and Route A1 in the direction of the airport, then take airport exit from A1, follow signs to Roissypole. The hotel is on the lefthand side. You can also get to the hotel by taking RER B in the direction of Charles de Gaulle airport, exit Terminal 1.
If you guarantee your room with a credit card, they will wait for you no matter how late you arrive.
From the outside, the hotel is a gray modern building, without any distinctive architecture. Parking is 25 euros/night. There is a free-of-charge shuttle between the hotel and the airport available between 6am and midnight every 20-30 minutes every day, so you don’t need a car at the hotel. The shuttle picks you up at the following locations at CDG: Terminal 1 at gate 8 of the arrival level, Terminals 2A and 2C at gate 5, Terminals 2B and 2D at gate 6, Terminal 2F at gate 8 of the arrival level.
This was the first time I was upgraded to the Executive Suite. The room cost over 500 euros/night, and it was truly luxury accommodations - a very large suite with a king-size bed and an extra rollaway as I asked. In addition, there were two large, comfortable armchairs, a table, a minibar, a TV, and a wall-wide window that you could close with the drapes if you didn’t enjoy the view of the airport. The furniture was wood laminates with bird’s-eye design. The bed was very comfortable. There was also a large entrance-lobby with two wardrobes with hangers, a safe, an iron and ironing board. The bathroom had a bathtub and a shower, toilet, one sink with large countertop and mirror, nice fluffy towels, terrycloth robes, slippers, shampoo/conditioner/bath gel, sewing kit, and hair dryer. The reception is the 0th (ground) floor, along with the restaurant and public phones. Also, there are elevators with glass walls and several conference rooms. On Sunday, there was no concierge, so if you need some help with checking your plane schedule or making reservations for restaurants or the opera in the city, you will have to talk to the receptionists. There are mostly men at the receptionist desk, and they would give you a phone number and tell you to call yourself. But if there is a lady at the receptionist desk, she will help you even if she is swamped.
On the first floor is the Club Room with access for Hilton VIP’s where you can have a complimentary breakfast, snack during the day, and evening drinks. It’s open all day from 6am to 11pm on weekdays and from 7am to 11pm on the weekends.
After all the dump hotels I stayed at on this trip, this was a great place to stay--I could actually get used to living like that.
