Disney's Hotel Santa Fe

This is a 1,000-guest room mega-motel with a theme designed to represent the landscape of Mexico. The buildings are made to resemble pueblo buildings and look like adobe constructions.

Check-in was a lengthy process, with forms to be filled out with information that was provided during the reservation process. It would seem the forms could have been pre-filled out to save time and move the line along.

The rooms were clean and comparable to the size of other Disney hotels in which we've stayed. There were two double beds with bright-colored spreads and decor carrying the Mexican theme into the interior of the room.

Breakfast was included in the room price, and we were given an assigned time to appear for breakfast at La Cantina. The breakfast was a bountiful European continental breakfast and was quite satisfactory.

The resort at night was a different place. The relatively drab appearance of the buildings and desert are transformed with neon lights at night, resembling a tourist trap.

Access to the Disneyland Paris Resort Theme Parks was provided by a bus service that came by every 10 to 15 minutes, but we found a path that would take us there on foot in a very pleasant 10-minute walk. We never took the bus.

Check-out was a snap; we just dropped the room key off in a special box at the desk and we were off.

I would probably not return to Hotel Santa Fe, more likely opting for the experience of another Disney property hotel should we ever visit again.
