Best Things Nearby:
Three beautiful 27-hole Makai golf courses in walking distance and the world famous Prince Course is within 3 miles. The quaint town of Hanalei is located on the Bay about 5 minutes away and features many clean, moderately priced restaurants with a wide variety of great food; excellent shopping areas are also abundant.

Best Things About the Resort:
Beautiful Pool with Sand Bottom Hot Tub. Well maintained grounds, nicely furnished units and very personable, courteous staff. All typical of a first class, gold-crown RCI resort.

Resort Experience:
Located in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii near the beautiful Makai Golf course and 1 mile from the Princeville Resort. Walking, Jogging paths nearby and many clifftop vantage points for watching the sunset over the Napali Coast and Bali Hai cliff formation. Various hiking trails, crystal clear snorkeling beaches, gentle rivers and miles of sandy swimming beaches are within 10-15 minutes.

Best Things About the Resort:
They have waterfalls that flow into the pool and a hot tub. It was very peaceful.

Everyone was very nice. Make sure you call the resort to book anything you do as they have great discounts.

Resort Experience:
When you arrive you are going to find that your unit overlooks either beautiful mountains or the blue ocean. If you have kids they will love everything the resort puts on during the week to keep them busy.

Best Things Nearby:
Everything is nearby! Things you have to do include snorkling at Tunnels Beach, walking on the pier at Hanalei Bay, watching the sunset from secluded Hideaways Beach, and seeing the breathtaking Na Pali coast by boat or by helicopter!

Best Things About the Resort:
The best thing about this resort is definitely the people. Everyone from the check-in staff to the housekeepers displayed the true Hawaiian "Aloha" spirit!

Resort Experience:
Bali Hai Villas just seemed to continue the jaw-dropping theme of the beautiful garden island of Kauai. We were unaware that the main "check-in" desk was at the airport in Lihue and as a result drove straight to Princeville without checking in. No problem though. They checked us in at the resort anyway giving us free MaiTais and leis.

Our 2 bedroom condo was brand new, in fact we were the first people to stay in our room, which gave us a few difficulties, but nothing major. The condo was spaced out well and beautifully decorated in traditional Hawaiian art. A beautiful sea shell painting hung in the living room and a large bird of paradise plant stood in the corner. The entire living room was made to appear even larger by a full length wall mirror hanging on one wall.

The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could ever need. There was an adequate supply of dishes and pans which were all brand new. The washing machine was great for loading, then leaving, enabling us time to see the sites and still coming home to clean dishes.

Both bedrooms were grand, with a huge king size bed in the master bedroom and a queen in the other bedroom. There were TV's in each bedroom and a DVD at the TV in the living room. The couch in the living room was also a hide-away, but we didn't use either the spare bedroom or the hideaway since we left the kids at home!

The unit also came with plenty of towels, and even extras for use at the fantastic pool. We took full use of the washer and dryer in the unit, and appreciated the policy of not washing or drying after 10 pm to restrict noise in the resort. The smaller amenities like coffee and dishsoap were also provided, and gave us enough that we didn't have to buy any from the local store.

The pool area was fabulous and unique. At one end two waterfalls cascade into the pool from a rocky ledge. The pool tiles on the pool floor also include a variety of sea turtle and mermaid murals. Near the shallow end a rocky wall separates the "kiddy" pool from the rest of the pool. The smaller pool has a sand bottom and gently slope toward a "beach". This sand beach then transitions into the beach volleyball court.

The resort offers numerous daily activities for the entire family. We did many of these organized activities like painting coconut postcards, fishing off the Hanalei pier, traveling to a luau, and even getting together for a resort-wide potluck. They offered door prizes at many of the activities and although we never won, they were all memorable!

The resort was fantastic and I would definitely stay here again. We did not have an ocean view, but the mountain view was fabulous!

Best Things About the Resort:
Very spacious! We had privacy for 6. The master bathroom was nicely divided. You could get ready while someone else was taking a shower and still have your privacy. Nicely landscaped pool with waterfalls...the best of the 3 resorts.

Resort Experience:
This is one of the nicest resorts we've been in, as far as the rooms: very private - very comfortable. Landscaping was excellent. I was thankful for the layout and spacious design....all 6 of us were able to relax without crowding. This was very nicely designed and looked new. However, do not expect to be on the water. Water views are a big distance away. With that said, there are mountain views. Each bedroom had a balcony. My parents came with us and enjoyed a mountain view from their balcony. We enjoyed a very distant water view and a pool view. The tradewinds were so relaxing blowing through the screened windows and sliding doors. We slept really well at night.
