PAHIO at Bali Hai Villas

Best Things Nearby:
There was a grocery store with almost anything you would need. Everything seemed to be $1 more on every item. Restaurants, a bank, and a gasoline station were near the grocery-store mall.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was clean and very well kept. The bath had a whirlpool tub/shower. The other bedroom had a shower. The kitchen had all of the dishes that you would ever need. We had a walk-out that went to the pool. The pool was the kids' favorite. You will have to visit here to see it. The resort had a meeting about things to do, and they gave us a map of the island. We were well informed about the things to do.

Resort Experience:
Kauai is known for its waterfalls, beaches, and green! The moment you get to your room after your 40-minute ride from the airport, take a walk to the pool and relax in the hot tub while the kids go to the pool. It is so nice to be able to drive 2 minutes to a grocery store.

The beaches are beautiful and waterfalls drain into the ocean. Visit the Princeville hotel for a Sunday brunch. Then go to the beach there for some snorkeling. (Bring your snorkel!

Make sure that the kids bring some Dramamine or Bonine for car sickness. The roads to the north end contour the island and end at a beautiful beach. Make sure that you watch the news for the TIDE report. One day the beach was beautiful for swimming and the next day it was very deep!

If you like to swim, snorkel, walk on the beaches, relax, hike, see beautiful flowers, waterfalls, take helicopter rides and boat tours, eat Hawaiian foods, drive and sightsee, and be in bed by 8:30pm, this is the island for you. Make sure you get a map of the island from the resort. They were extremely helpful!

We stayed in a one-bedroom condo. It was outstanding. The decor was very relaxing and fit perfectly with this tropical resort. This was our fourth trip to this resort, and we will return again. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Your stay here will be one of the best you have experienced.

Best Things Nearby:
The most breathtaking sunrise you will ever have the chance to see can be found just moments away at Queen’s Bath. The gorgeous saltwater pool, fed by the waves on a secluded stretch of rocky shore, can be reached by a winding little trail surrounded by small waterfalls. It may not be accessible during the winter months. Another favorite sight nearby was the Hanalei lookout, with an inspiring view of a lush, peaceful valley towered by emerald mountains. The town of Princeville itself was charming and picturesque, and the golf course was simply incomparable.

Best Things About the Resort:
Some of the things we loved about the resort were the spacious, beautiful rooms. The kitchen came with everything, and we made very good use of it. The washer and dryer were an almost invaluable amenity with all of our hiking and beach activities. One of the most beautiful things about the resort itself was the pool/hot tub area. With a floor of soft sand and surrounded by cave-like walls of rock, the hot tub was at the bottom of a cascading warm waterfall—very private and romantic late at night. We also have to give praise to the personnel. They were so friendly and helpful, and our concierge did a superb job helping us plan our activities. She was better by far than any other we have worked with on our other vacations.

Resort Experience:
It was very convenient to be able to check in and pick up our room keys right at the airport. If you have the chance, we recommend a quick stop at the Safeway in Kapaa on your way up to the resort, as it is quite a bit cheaper than the local grocery store. When we arrived at the resort, we thought the grounds and room were much prettier than the pictures we had seen of it. Our unit was really spacious and charming. Our balcony had a wonderful view of the mountains. Although we were usually up early and gone for most of the day, one of the things that we really did appreciate about the room (besides the kitchen with washer and dryer, which were life savers) was the Jacuzzi tub, which was a wonderful treat at the end of long day. While we were there, we attended the timeshare presentation and were shown two nearby Pahio resorts. In return, we received tickets to a luau, which was a lot of fun! We definitely plan to return to this resort again and highly recommend it to other vacationers coming to Kauai.

Beaches, the Guava Plantation, and the lighthouse.

Best Things About the Resort:
There were activities scheduled at the resort and bus transportation to Luau. The concierges were wonderful, helping us to plan our week. You could use the facilities at other Pahio Resorts.

Resort Experience:
There is parking right in front of the condo, so you don't have to walk a long way with luggage. It's an easy way in and out, and there are lots of beautiful plants. Everything is kept neat and clean. There is a friendly crew, and the place is nice and quiet. There are also lots of walking paths.

Inside the condos, the way they were decorated was very restful. The floor plan was great, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and any utensil or appliance you would need. It was very well kept. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer for the wet bathing suits and clothes.

You are in Princeville. What more could you want? You look out to see mountains everywhere and a new waterfall every morning.

Best Things About the Resort:
The location! You are right outside the town of Hanalei with great little shops and dining and only 30 minutes to my favorite beach Ke'e that is either at the beginning/end of the road!

We were confirmed into a 1 bedroom unit that was very spacious! The bathroom is huge with a jacuzzi tub and a safe in the closet ( very convenient.)

Ceiling fans in the bedroom and living/dining room keep you cool. Being in Princeville you always have a good breeze so air conditioning is not a necessity.

The kitchen was a good size with an ice maker so we didn't have to buy ice for our cooler.

The pool and hot tub were wonderful! The pool is a great size and has an area where it's a natural sandy bottom. I have never seen anything like that.

Resort Experience:
Driving from Lihue towards Princeville you will see mountains to your right and the Pacific Ocean to your left. I know I would never get tired of this view.

In Princeville you have 2 restaurants, grocery store, a couple of stores, as station and ice cream palor.

Kauai is an island to get away from it all. If you are looking for night life and lots and lots of activities, this is not the place for you, but if you like hanging out on a different beach everyday and relaxing, then this is your vacation! We loved being able to hang out on our favorite beaches and then go straight to dinner and then back to our unit to relax.
