Best Things Nearby:
Resort is located 10 miles north of the airport. I stayed in a one-bedroom suite that sleeps up to four people (king size bed and sofa bed), with two TV sets, dining table, tub and double air-conditioning system, for living room and bedroom.

Best Things About the Resort:
There is only one word to describe this place: luxurious! 24-hour room service is included, with a la carte service. The unit mini-bar is refilled every day with soda and spirits. Pool and snack bar are very good as well. Please please don't miss the opportunity to pamper yourself at the onsite 1700-square meter spa (not included), rated as one of the top five spas in the world. Gym and souvenir store are also available onsite. All-inclusive is great, with unlimited meals and beverages (all kinds). This resort offers one family restaurant called Azul, servicing guests all day long and two fine dining restaurants called Frida and Luca. The first one offers all kinds of food: beef, chicken, great seafood. Frida offers gourmet mexican cuisine and Luca serves gourmet international cuisine. Dress code for these two for Men: Khakis, shirt and shoes, No sport shoes or T-shirts. Ladies: casual dress is accepted. Reservation is required for both restaurants, at the front desk.

Resort Experience:
There are a lot of things to do in Puerto Vallarta. Great nightlife and entertainment. You can take a tour to the marina or take a walk on the beach while watching the sunset. Fine dining can also be found here. Ask the concierge.

The city, the beach, the lobby bar, the pool bar, the service, the food, and Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club -- yes!!

Best Things About the Resort:
It is brand new. Oceanfront rooms (all of them). Great service. All-inclusive option. The room itself was great. It was very big for a one bedroom. The big balcony with ocean view! We felt kind of like royalty. The array of food options and alcoholic drinks were endless. Choose what you may

Resort Experience:
The room was the Parlour Suite with the terrace balcony. This includes two couch beds to sleep out there and two lounge chairs with a table. Just inside the balcony was the dining area, including a contemporary glass table imported from Belgium and chairs, a 36" TV with satellite cable, and a mini fridge that held water, juice, sodas, beers, tequila, rum, vodka, and kahlua. We emptied this out pretty quick and then called the front desk for a re-stocking of our fridge -- no problem! The all-inclusive option covers it. Connected to the dining area is the living room area with a couch and coffee table, (very new furniture). The bedroom was separated from the living area by a door and wooden shutter windows -- there were just two of us, so we never closed the shutters or the door. There is separate climate control from the bedroom and the rest of the unit -- very high tech stuff. The bedroom consisted of two king beds with down comforters and six down pillows to choose from on the pillow menu. There were also robes, slippers, closet space with a safety box, and the second of the two 36" TVs. Connected to that is the bathroom with a sink, a toilet, and a bathtub – it was pretty standard, but very new and nice, about 950 sq ft I think.

I definitely want to take my girlfriend here for our honeymoon – this would be an experience I will never forget and nor will my girlfriend. This was our first time in Mexico by ourselves away from our parents. This was 100 times better than any place our parents booked! Definitely try to get this place. Our unit goes for about $600 per night! If you Check out the grand velas.com website you'll see the expense. Booking through RCI was an unbeleivable deal. Plus RCI all-inclusive rates are cheapest that they offer. No other people get it cheaperTwo thumbs up!

The town of Bucerias!

Best Things About the Resort:
Spacious, luxurious, and clean! The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Resort Experience:
I could not say enough good things about this resort! We traveled to Mexico with family and friends, and all of us loved this resort! It was serene and beautiful! The kids loved being right on the beach and having the option of eating whatever and whenever they wanted (the all-inclusive resort is the ONLY way to go when you are traveling with kids). It was luxurious, yet very comfortable.

Canyon National Park Lodges

Depending on where you stay, room prices can range drastically. Check the different prices on the web site before you go.

We stayed in the Maswik Lodge cabins which were rustic, but equipped with two queen sized beds, a shower, telephone and a colour television. While staying there, we saw deer walking around the lodges... it was quaint and quite a nice place to stay, if you don''t mind bugs.

That was the only negative thing about the rooms. The bed had little bugs that squished and looked like drops of blood in the morning. Neither of us staying in the room had any idea what was going on until I woke early one morning (while Robyn was going to see the sunrise), and I noticed something crawling on the bed. It was a little red bug! Eww! I fixed that by using Aeroguard on my bed to keep the little pests at bay. :p

But, then, we were in a National Park with trees and everything all around, and animals wandering by the lodges. I guess bugs weren''t too big a problem - everything else was quite up to scratch, and it was great being inside the park itself, right at the Canyon!

Maswik Lodge features a cafeteria that is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Here you will also find a sports bar with a wide screen TV, a curio shop stocked with handicrafts and gifts, and a transportation/activities desk.
