THE UNIT THAT I GOT HERE WAS A BIG ONE BEDROOM. WHEN YOU WALK INTO YOUR UNIT YOU HAVE THE KITCHEN WICHT IS A PRETTY NICE AND WELL EQUIPED KITCHEN. THEN YOU HAVE THE DINNING AREA WITH A TABLE FOR FOUR PEOPLE. AND THEN YOU HAVE YOUR LIVING ROOM AREA WHERE YOU HAVE A SLIDING DOOR GOING TO THE BALCONIE OF YOUR UNIT.

HTE BATHROOM IS VERY NICE AND CLEAN AND YOU HAVE A BATHTUB. IN THE ROOM YOU HAVE A HUGE BED (WHEN YOU TRAVEL BY YOURSELF) WITH YOUR TV, CLOSET AND YOU ALSO HAVE AN SLIDING DOOR TO YOUR BALCONIE. IN YOUR CLOSET YOU HAVE YOUR SAFE AND ALSO AN IRON WITH YOUR IRON BOARD. BUT THE BALCONIE IS THE BEST THING OF THE ROOM. IN YOUR FRIDGE YOU HAVE AND ORANGE JUICE, MILK, 2 APPLES, ABOUT NINE DIFFERENT SODAS AND SIX BEERS.

YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE. AND PLUS YOU HAVE YOUR 24HRS ROOM SERVICE!!!!

Best Things Nearby:
The marina is close by. We walked there each evening as something to do.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very clean!

Resort Experience:
We had reservations for a studio suite but were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite upon arrival since it was slow. This suite is AWESOME. The kitchen is huge and there is a nice dinette area and a large living room. The bedroom is a nice size. There was a TV in the living room and the master bedroom, as well as sliders that led to the very large patio. We saw the studios, and they do not have patios or balconies and seemed small. I would not recommend them and doubt that we would be raving about the resort as much had we been in the studio instead of the one-bedroom suite.

This is an all inclusive resort, so we ate most meals there. The food was five-star quality. We were never disappointed with a meal we ordered. We toured another resort while in town and liked Velas much better because it was small and comfortable. The walk to the two restaurants only takes 5 minutes, with no hills, unlike many others. We would definitely come back.

Best Things Nearby:
The downtown, "El Malecon", is a beautiful road next to the ocean, next to the main bars and nightclubs as well next to the most popular restaurants.

Best Things About the Resort:
It is very beautiful, clean, and the staff is amazing! The service is awesome, and the restaurants on-site have delicious a la carte dishes, and the 24-hour room service included was one of my favorite features. Don’t forget to ask for a couple of pizzas after the club.

Resort Experience:
The resort itself, like I said, is very clean, well cared for, big, and warm. The units are huge and with EVERYTHING you need--you will always have your refrigerator full of cold beers, sodas, milk, and fresh juice. If you ask for a bottle of wine, tequila, or whichever is your favorite drink, they will bring it to you right away. All the units have flat-screen TV with cable and huge living area, and in my case, we had a two-bedroom, and it was bloody huge--it had two full kitchens, two full bathrooms, and two living areas, without mentioning the huge terrace.

The resort has a lot of fun water sports on-site and a beautiful view of Puerto Vallarta. The beach is beautiful as well, but a little bit rocky from my point of view, which makes it not really good for swimming. But the service and the staff are definitely the best qualities of this resort--they won't hesitate in bringing you everything you want whenever you want: delicious beverages or just some shrimp cocktail will be available for you in just a couple minutes.

Best Things Nearby:
Everything is close.

Best Things About the Resort:
Service, food, and of course, the swim-up bar.

Resort Experience:
This was our first all-inclusive trip, and I must say, it was well worth it. The two restaurants were top-notch, and the service can't be beat. The entire staff is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I would highly recommend this resort and the all-inclusive. The only downside to the all inclusive is the temptation to eat and drink too much...

This resort was an all-inclusive resort, but boy, was it worth the money. Everything was included! My room was amazingly clean and nice. The furniture was very modern, and the pillows and sheets are sooooo comfortable. I slept so well the entire time I was there! When you check in they hand you a menu for the specific kind of pillows and sheets that you prefere. It was absolutely breathtaking! The grounds were well maintained as well as the inside of the resort was immaculate. I have become such a resort snob since staying at the Grand Velas.
