Club Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan

Best Things Nearby:
There were lots of shops, and the jewelry store right across the street has the best prices on silver jewelry.

Best Things About the Resort:
Location and service

Resort Experience:
Our third year here was great. The service was excellent and the grounds spotless. I do have to complain about the happy hour drinks around the pool. I think they forgot the tequila this time around. There are no other complaints.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach was nice. The timeshare was within walking distance of The Golden Zone, but it is a long walk, and is a bus ride from the Malecon.

Best Things About the Resort:
It is a Mexican-style resort, with a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony, a wonderful staff, and activities.

Resort Experience:
We had 3 weeks here in a studio that had plenty of room for the two of us to get away from the cold and snow. The kitchen equipment wouldn't have been suitable for four people, though the room does sleep four. I had taken a little electric kettle and was disappointed that the outlets do not accept three-prong plugs. (I'll know for the next time.) I don't know if that's the norm for Mexico or just this resort. Internet was available at a slightly higher price than on the street, but it was worth it for the convenience and reliability.

We took the San Blas jungle tour, which was great and included a delicious lunch, but beware of the tiny biting insects! They weren't a problem on the boat, but once we sat in the shade to have our lunch, they appeared. The bites are very itchy, and we were warned not to scratch, which would make it worse.

We also did a trip to Rosario, which was excellent as well. We stopped for lunch in a tiny restaurant that was doing a booming takeout business! It was very reasonably priced, as was the produce in the market we went to there.

Clean, comfortable rooms. They were not overly fancy, but they had everything we needed and we were very pleased. We stayed in a studio, there were only three of us and we had plenty of room.

Best Things Nearby:
At the time that we went, there was not a lot to do for tourists. Most of the vendors came right to the beach of the resort.

Best Things About the Resort:
This resort was BEAUTIFUL! The time of year we went was off-season and there were very few people at the resort. We always had a seat at the pool bar.

Resort Experience:
Check in was Monday, and a hurricane had come through the area the day before. Our original unit had been upgraded to one of the best units. We were poolside and ocean front. One morning while dining on the balcony of our unit, two wild peacocks surrounded me! I guess they wanted to eat as well. My husband came out and chased them away! This is definitely something that would never happen back in New York! The hotel workers were the nicest people. Not being able to speak Spanish, I was nervous about traveling here. I never felt like I had to worry about being scammed in currency translation. People in the whole town treated us like we were royalty.

Pueblo Bonito

This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back. The room service was awesome. We didn't try it the last time, but had breakfast in our room twice this time around. The boy sets the table with silverware and all the food was great. It cost the two of us $12-14 each time, tip included.

The maid service was not up to par this time, though. I say that because it seemed like she never swept the floor and that was all we really needed done, along with clean towels.

The pools were great and the beach is one of Mazatlans best.
