The resort had a sister resort nearby. A free shuttle will take you there and it's on the beach.

Resort Experience:
Although our trip was delayed for a couple of days due to the threat of a hurricane, once we got there, we had a BLAST!!!! We partied like it was 1999. We did not take any of the scheduled day tours. The entire staff was great. With the all-inclusive package, our frig was always re-stocked with soda, beer and bottled water. I've read in previous journals that the drinks were watered down. This was not our experience at all. My brothers can really drink and they had too much. Get to know the staff and have fun with them. This will make your trip an excellent experience.

Best Things Nearby:
The resort is on the lagoon, which still makes you feel like you are by water. We took the free boat or bus shuttle to the sister hotel "The Royal Sunset" whenever we needed our ocean fix.

We had free use of the water sports and, with the all-inclusive option, we were treated like royalty. The snack bar is a real hit during the day, the Italian restaurant delicioso, and the buffet had ample choices for the picky eater (even fresh omelets made-to-order daily).

Best Things About the Resort:
Nothing can compare to the staff at this resort. They care about you and want you to have the best time possible. They will even take you to different nightclubs downtown every night. We got to know every bar tender and the entertainment staff very well. They became our Mexican friends.

Resort Experience:
This is the best of both worlds in Cancun. You can have the wild nightlife when you want it and the ocean, too. But honestly, we didn't want to leave. The resort is not a high rise, so the three-story hacienda-style buildings wind through garden paths. Hammocks and bamboo shelters line the sandy beach area. There are plenty of loungers by the pool and lagoon and towels as well. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home -- you'll never want to leave!

We had a one-bedroom unit with a two-bathroom suite. It was wonderful! The master bedroom had its own ensuite and TV. The living area had another full bath, small kitchen and table for four, a daily stocked fridge with beer, water and sodas, a two-couch sitting area, and a king-size bed. It was cleaned daily, including floral arrangements on the table. The added feature of our own outdoor two-person jacuzzi was fabulous.

Resort tried to hard sell existing members into other "bargains." Resort staff would not call police after we were robbed and told us to go to street and get the police. Resort was not helpful and take on some responsibility for their lack of security. They tried to ignore the facts and distort them.
