Best Things Nearby:
Shopping, shopping, and ocean

Best Things About the Resort:
The food and service

Resort Experience:
The food was wonderful, the people were fantastic, and we took wonderful side trips. It is so easy to get around in Cancun; just hop on a bus, and off you go. Fare is about 35 cents. But shut your eyes; the bus driver really drives crazy. But you seldom see any accidents.

Beautiful beach out front and a very large lagoon behind us, both visible from our ojne-bedroom balcony

Best Things About the Resort:

We had a HUGE one-bedroom that was larger than the last two-bedroom apartment I lived in. There was nightly live entertainment, and we did not expect to see this level of talent in the dancers in Cancun. Maid service was great, with the pleasant surprise of towels in the shapes of animals. There was a very pleasant staff and great food.

Resort Experience:
This resort treats RCI people very well. With our stay of 7 nights, we were given a free tour to Isla Mujerles/Garrafon Park for incredible snorkeling and a sea walk for incredible ocean views. The RCI reps were just great and gave us a great reception. Our personal rep was Loreena, who is just "personality plus" and (I'm not kidding) the model for Garrafon Park website snorkeling picture!! RCI reps helped us plan all the tours we wanted to do. The food was really quite good at the main buffets, and Marco Polo is an upscale sit-down restaurant, all in the very reasonable all-inclusive rate. For late-night hunger, hit the beachside snack bar for hot sandwiches, etc. A small live group plays in the evenings in the main lobby, but this area was rather small and split by a walkway.

Best Things About the Resort:
The service was awesome. When we arrived, they told us in the morning briefing that we would have the best vacation of our lives - and we did! The hotel, Grand Royal Solaris, which is a sister hotel of the Royal Solaris, is where we stayed. It was only 7 weeks old when we were there, and it is beautiful. The food was six-star quality. The activities' staff was great, and the alcohol was flowing all day long. It is a great place for an RCI exchange because they want RCI people to be happy so they will give their resort great reviews, as I am doing now. I will definitely be going back!

Resort Experience:
The rooms are of superior quality and size for Mexico. RCI members get a free day trip. We went snorkeling for the day, with lunch and beer included. They have 24-hour room service, and each room has a balcony. There is a stocked fridge in your room with Corona, pop, and water, and it is replenished on a daily basis. There is maid service every day!

There is a great beach, and shopping is easily reached by bus.

Best Things About the Resort:
The staff; pool; great food; and clean, well-maintained rooms were all good things about the resort.

Resort Experience:
The sports and entertainment staff go out of their way to make this a wonderful getaway. The maid service created different animals using the hotel towels and gave the rooms a nice touch daily.

The food selection is great, with seven restaurants to choose from and the poolside barbeques available all day so you don't have to leave the pool.
