The rooms were wonderful. The pool was HUGE and we could have stayed there the whole time. The beach was nice, but they were working on it. I wished we were closer to the water, but the walk was only five minutes. The staff was very polite.

The facility was clean and well kept. Everyone treats you nicely and the service is great. The restaraunts are expensive, however, the food and service is good. The facility is huge and you need a golf cart to take you any place. There is a grocery store on site which is very pricey; I bought six budweisers for USD 15.

Best Things Nearby:
Playa del Carmen is a short bus or taxi ride south of the resort. Playa provides a great variety of restuarants and live entertainment in a very safe enviroment.

Best Things About the Resort:
The Pool is huge. It took us 45 minutes just to walk the perimeter of the pool. They have a swim-up bar on each end of the pool, each having several happy hours each day.

Resort Experience:
The room decor is odd for at beach resort; all neutral tones and no ocean or pool views. The room was large, very clean, and provided all one needs for light cooking. The food and drinks served at the resort are excellent. The steak I had at the Tumtah restuarant was possibly the best I have had anywhere.

Best Things Nearby:
Playa Del Carmen is only about a 15-minute taxi ride from the resort. It is a quaint Mexican town with lots of shopping and restaurants with some of the most beautiful waters around.

Best Things About the Resort:
The pool areas are the best part of this resort. It is a multi-layered pool that runs right down to the beach. Calm, quiet, relaxing, with two in-pool bars, and a little cafe just off to the side.

Resort Experience:
This resort is fairly new, and still under construction. However, the construction really does not interfere in any way with your experience of the resort. Everyone (staff and vacationers alike) is friendly and helpful. The rooms are large, and very clean. The staff takes great pride in their work and do a wonderful job. There are several restaurants on the property, but I would have to say my favorite was called Tumtah. It was more seafood than anything, but did have fire-baked pizzas, which were excellent and inexpensive. It is situated right on the beach at the edge of the water, with eight or so hammocks right outside for you to lounge in when you are finished with dinner. They also had a live mariachi group that strolled through the restaurant as you ate and would play any request that you wanted.
