Beautiful Tropical Resort

The Grand Wailea Resort and Spa is a luxury resort on beautifully landscaped grounds. This hotel has several restaurants and shops, seven pools with water slides that lead to a river pool, a cave complete with a swim up bar for cocktails, and an adult only pool. The adult only pool is wonderful for those who are not vacationing with children. The lush grounds are very well manicured with tropical plants and flowers of different varieties. This resort is by far the nicest of any I have seen on the island. We had a deluxe garden view room with a king size bed. The room had recently been renovated (the hotel is currently renovating wing by wing) and was freshly painted with new carpet and very nicely decorated, complete with a 40" LCD television and the king size bed was extremely comfortable with a pillow top. My husband and I have stayed at this resort many times and were glad to see that they are finally updating the rooms. They had been getting a bit run down. The restaurants are a bit pricey and if you order an alcoholic beverage from the waitresses who take orders while you lounge poolside, expect to pay at least $12 (nonalcoholic beverages start at $8) and $16 for a cheeseburger. The Grand Wailea is an expensive hotel but if you are going to Maui the experience is worth the price.

My favorite hotel I have ever had the plesure of staying in on the grounds were lush and incredible, and the staff was welcoming, not to mention the to-die-over pools. It was quintessentially Hawaii!
