Best Things Nearby:
There are wonderful snorkeling spots all around with public access. You must snorkel in the reserve area on the north side. We got to swim close to a sea turtle! There were also silver fish that would swim up to you. We are guessing that people feed them, and they are not scared of humans. Go snorkeling before the late afternoon when the tide comes in, otherwise you won't enjoy yourself. There are also reasonably priced shops all around to rent snorkel gear from.

Don't eat at the pizza place in the shopping center across from the resort. It was horrible!

Best Things About the Resort:
The room we had was outdated. There are people who actually live at the resort. Cleaning service was everyday, and the desk people were very helpful. You may want to take your own beach towels. If you lose one of the resort beach towels, you will be charged $20 per towel!

Resort Experience:
The resort is very nice! Location is a little ways from main attraction areas, but it is close enough to drive. You can't swim in the ocean even though the resort is on the beach. They have 2 pools and 2 spas, so that was nice to get in around the sunset. The units also have washer/dryer and kitchens so you can save money by grocery shopping for food. Not many great places to eat nearby except for Roy's.

Our one-bedroom condo had a balcony that overlooked beautiful gardens, which surrounded pools of water filled with fish. The garden area was well maintained daily. Next to the garden was a miniature golf course, swimming pool, and hot tub. The resort was on the ocean, but did not have a beach.

As for the condo itself, it needed some attention. The unit had a kitchen, but the carpet should have been replaced and some of the walls repainted.

On the first morning, guests were served fresh fruit, juice, and coffee and briefed on what to do on Maui. It was very informative, and we could purchase tickets for most of the excursions at the resort.
