We stayed in the "All Star Sports Resort". I never saw something like that before, it was amazing. The resort is themed to five popular professional sports: baseball, football, basketball, tennis, and surfing.
Already when we arrived we could see why it was called "Sports Resort"--the reception was more like a Stadium Hall then a normal hotel entrance and we felt like we were entering a basketball gymnasium. We had a nice comfortable room for four people. It had everything you need like TV, telephone, radio, air conditioner, hairdryer, iron and iron board, etc. After we unpacked our stuff we made a tour through the resort.
All over the resort we found bright, bold, and colourful pop articons such as a four-story football helmet, giant "tennis ball can" and megaphone-shaped stairwells. As I said the whole resort is themed around football, baseball, tennis, basketball, and surfing. For example, of the two pools one has a baseball theme, while the other is centered around water sports.
Besides all that the resort also offered a food court, pool bar, pizza delivery to your room, even convenient laundry facilities and Goofy´s Gifts and Sundries shop.
And not to forget the bus transportation. At the end of the lobby, near the Sport Goofy Gifts and Sundries the resort provided bus stops to get to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Pleasure Island, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, etc.
I felt really comfortable in that resort. It was like an adventure, so if you are looking for an affordable resort option that allows you to take advantage of the on-site resort perks, Disney's All Star Resort is the place for you!!!
