This resort was a pleasant surprise. We are a family of 6 and we all stayed in a one-bedroom deluxe because we were only staying for two days and we weren't hanging out in the room. The room had a king-sized bed that was comfortable, a pull-out bed that looked fairly new, and a kitchen that was stocked. There was also a TV in the bedroom and one in the living room. It had a washer/dryer machine, which we used and the items to operate it.

The resort also had two pools, a playground, and a grill outside the units. The game room was the best as it had high quality video games for all ages and it was all FREE (you pay a $5 daily fee mandatory). The putt putt was in good condition and was also FREE. The pool bar served drinks and the exercise room was fully equipped. We left and went to Kings Dominion on the way home, it's cheaper than Busch Gardens and includes an amusement park and waterpark.

Best Things Nearby:
Colonial Williamsburg, great restaurants, outlet mall, Williamsburg Pottery, Busch Gardens. Anything you want is very convenient

Best Things About the Resort:
We had a two bedroom, with one king, one queen, and a pullout couch. The kitchen was well equipped. Two full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. With four adults and two children, we need space, and our unit had enough of everything. The staff was friendly. My husband couldn't get the TV to work, and maintenance was there within 5 minutes of the call.

Resort Experience:
This resort is gated, which is very helpful. Check-in and check out was quick. There is the usual attempt by the staff to show you the upgrades and fill out the survey—which is just a nice way to try to sell more timeshare. This trip we had our daughter who got married to her long time boyfriend, and two children. This resort has ample parking. We used the beautiful gazebo with the nice waterfall as the setting for the little wedding. This resort is compact so the pool, activity center, restaurant, etc., is all within walking distance of the unit. This resort offers a video card for $4 a day, and kids of all ages can play at no extra charge for that 24 hours period to their hearts content. It was a very busy place.

Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and many other places of interest are within a 15-minute drive. Traffic is steady, but not bad. We used the kitchen and dining room for breakfast and a couple of lunches. There are so many wonderful local restaurants, along with some of the usual chains. There are lots of places to shop for not only yourself, but all your friends. Take an extra suitcase. This is a wonderful resort and Williamsburg is a great place for people of all ages.

Because we stayed busy all day long, our evenings were usually quiet, either reading or watching TV. The layout of the two-bedroom condo helped each of us have our own resting time. The fully equipped kitchen and dining room were very well laid out and comfortable. The bedrooms both had comfortable beds, large baths (one had a large whirlpool tub), and TVs. Plenty of towels were provided. The linens were especially nice in this resort. The living area had doors leading to a deck which we used for our morning coffee and chats. The resort also had a great excercise room and pools. The grounds were very well kept and provided a great place for a morning walk.

We were very satisfied with the accommodations. So satisfied, that my husband and one of our adult sons who are history buffs went for a trip the following year, they also stayed at the same resort.

We had the one-bedroom studio, and it was perfect for the two of us. The resort had everything we needed, including discount tickets, maps, two pools, miniature golf, and Starbucks coffee! They ran a grill in the afternoon, and it was a very clean place. We had a mini kitchen but full fridge. However, there was no deck on the room, but that was okay with us.

Busch Gardens

Best Things About the Resort:
Lots of amenities (three pools, massage facility, gym, movies, and restaurant)

Resort Experience:
This is a nice resort with lots of amenities. The unit was nicely decorated and clean. The one-bedroom had a living room with a sofa, dining table, small kitchen, and large bathroom (with a washer/dryer, but no Jacuzzi tub). The kitchen was well equipped, and a plus was the laundry soap. This unit did not have a balcony. Some units do have outdoor space, some don't. It is a huge complex of over 25 buildings. As with other RCI resorts, there are no elevators, so beware if you have a lot of luggage and a third floor unit. Also, the units are not entirely soundproof. The doors seem to always slam shut, and you can hear noise from above.

There are gas grills outside of each building. They have lots of activities, discounted tickets, tours, etc., to keep you busy. The adults-only pool is a nice plus!
