My husband and I just returned from an anniversary stay at the Wilderness Club. What a fabulous place.
We never had to leave the property and found plenty to do.Just hiking around the different areas and going to the marina took most the day.We only ate at the Devils Pool and Buzzard Bar ;both were fantastic. Mr. Clay, singing cowboy, was very entertaining.
The staff was the best I've ever encountered;.I made one mention of our anniversary and that night there were glasses and chocolates left, that was neat.(My husband even forgot, hahaha). Nightly visits from the "cookie lady" were especially welcomed and having the newspaper at our door every morning was a great touch!!
Thank You again for a great vacation. Can't wait to return.

Regardless of what you’re looking for in a vacation, you can find it at Big Cedar. This 40-acre resort is situated on Table Rock Lake, just 10 miles south of Branson, Missouri. The facility comes with a plethora of activities for everyone to use. Big Cedar has enough to offer to be a destination in itself.
The resort offers rustic log cabins and lodge units, all with a view of the lake or woods. The attention to interior detail is amazing. Each spacious cabin has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, whirlpool bath, homespun area rugs and a 350-square-foot deck with gas grill. Lodge units feature wood-planked floors, spa-sized tubs (except in studios), patios, hickory sapling furniture and mountings of trophy bucks and game birds. Some also include a cozy fireplace with a split log mantle. We spent our lavish weekend in a studio that came equipped with more than we had anticipated. There is nothing small or cramped about the studio unit.
The 9,000-square-foot clubhouse houses a game room, owners’ lounge, retail store, snack bar and activities desk. The resort also offers a Lazy River, an 875-foot water feature complete with caves, rock grottoes, waterfall and a water slide (only open Memorial Day through Labor Day). Through the Big Cedar Lodge Resort there is a few different restaurants including Truman Smokehouse, Top of the Rock Restaurant, The Worman House and Devil's Pool Restaurant (all of which result in a heavy bill). There are also two pools, massive hot tubs, and a lush fitness facility. In addition there is marina that offers boating, fishing, and water skiing. Plus, horseback lovers can go riding along the wooded trails.
To top it all off, each night a lady (who we coined as the "cookie monster") delieves coffee and fresh cookies for you to enjoy. My husband thought that he had died and gone to heaven.
If you have the opportunity to enjoy Big Cedar, you will not regret the escape.

We enjoyed the room service. Being able to go to the local supermarket to buy food, come back to the cabin and cook . Not have to worry about spending a lot of money. That way we had money to spend doing other things with the family

Oh, my, this place was out of sight. When we first arrive I started crying. I'm a city girl and could not believe what I was seeing. The cabin where we were staying was spacious, it had a nice relaxing mood, we were able to sit on the balcony and just feel the fresh, clean air, and enjoy the wilderness. The pools were perfect for all ages. The scenic walk was beautiful. They had a lot of activities for all ages. We did not want the time to end. It was our first trip as a couple and a family. My husband and I had only been married for 1 year. We didn't even have a honeymoon. But that was good enough for us.

This resort has four restaurants. There is horseback riding, a spa, miniature golf, a Jack Nicholas championship golf course, a lazy river, several pools, a gym, and a marina.
