Our one-bedroom was on the second floor. The structure, but not the inside of the room, reminded me of a motel. The entrance to the room began in the living room. It had a large TV on one wall, a chair and ottoman, a sleeper/sofa, coffee table, and an end table with a lamp. The kitchen was right next to it and could be seen from the doorway; it was a full kitchen, and the staff had set the dining table with all the tableware. It looked fabulous. They had mirrors all down one side of the kitchen, and my kids loved looking at themselves during those nights we ate in. Off the living room were the entrance to the bedroom and the bathroom. You could also get to the bathroom by a separate door in the bedroom. There was a king-size bed, a large dresser with TV, and a bedside table. The bathroom was huge. It had a large Jacuzzi that the kids enjoyed.

The resort had an outdoor pool, but it had recently been painted and was not filled during our stay. They did have an indoor recreation hall that was a short walking distance behind the building and housed a large pool, a small hot tub, and a kiddie pool. Past the pool were the bathrooms and a workout facility. This facility was of no charge to the guests. Firemen with their trucks came one day during our stay so they could use the facility, and our kids enjoyed an up-close and personal look at the fire trucks. The resort had an orientation for all guests the evening we arrived and gave us some tips and pointers on getting around Branson. They had two mixers, game night, a free ladies' facial (a Mary Kay rep came), and other activities that you could participate in while there at the resort. However, there was way too much to do and see for us to spend time at the resort. The resort did give us a complimentary 2-hour pontoon boat ride. We packed a cooler, they gave us a map, and we were able to see the Dam built that generated the electricity for the city. At one point, we were going around in circles, but eventually we were able to find our way back after first filling up the gas tank (which was a requirement) at a local gas station on the river. The resort did require a deposit, but we got it back after we checked out. We would recommend going back.

Best Things Nearby:
Lake Taneycomo

Best Things About the Resort:
Friendly staff.

Resort Experience:
This is a motel, not a resort. Pictures are VERY deceiving. Had a view outside of room of the HIGHWAY. Next to the hospital, so was very noisy from the highway and the ambulances. Had window air conditioners that needed coaxing to work. Indoor pool heater was broken all week, and our 3-year-old niece was heartbroken she could not go swimming as we had promised. Outdoor pool has sharp rocks all around it that hurt your feet (water was too cold to swim in anyway). The "deck" was an outside walkway with no way of having a table outside of room to play cards, eat, etc. No grills. Onsite "fishing" was a boggy creek. No pontoon boat rentals or onsite store as advertised. Resort area was very small and compact. If you are looking for a place to have a quiet, peaceful relaxed atmosphere away from it all, this is not the place for you. If you want Budget Inn, stay here.

One-bedroom, very clean room, found everything to be in working order. Staff very friendly. Not a lot of planned kids’ activities, but my outgoing 11-year-old nephew was welcome at the activities I attended (bingo, get-togethers, entertainment day).

Plenty of supplies and they have extra items if you ask for them.

He found swimming to be the most fun. I found the whirlpool spa could have been a little cleaner.

Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

Superb! The whirlpool in our bathroom was huge! The dining table was all prepared when we checked-in -- very classy looking.

The gal who manages the resort had a meeting with RCI guests and discussed activities available throughout the week. She even managed to have a local singer who does a show in the evenings give us a sample of her music -- we were thoroughly impressed. They even gave us a one-hour complimentary pontoon to take out on the lake.

Best Things Nearby:
Historic Downtown

Best Things About the Resort:
Close to the shows, but not too close. Indoor childrens pool.

Resort Experience:
The staff was wonderful. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The layout is perfect, so that everyone seems to be close to the health club, which has equipment and facilities for everyone, from tanning beds, to walking tracks, to weight equipment.
