Indian Point Resort Condominiums

This was our second stay at this resort, the first one being two years ago. Not much has changed since our last stay--everything that we found so pleasant last time was still there and in about the same condition.

We were still greeted with very pleasant personnel, a clean and well-maintained condo, and even a few complimentary grocery items like a quart of milk, a quart of orange juice, and an assortment of snacks, individual breakfast cereals, popcorn, etc. There was even a package a cinnamon rolls--nothing fancy, but still a very nice touch. No other condo that we have been to has ever done this.

There are no formal activities here, but that is just fine. There is the lake, and that's what we come for. We swim from the dock while others swim in the pools that are provided. We did make some use of the jacuzzi, which was also well-maintained. There was even some wildlife with geese, squirrels, and even some raccoons.

They have ample parking along with boat slips with lockers for skis, etc. They have complimentary peddle boats along with rental boats of all types. And they have boat gas at the dock, although pretty pricey, which can be charged to your room (no cash sales).

We love the laid-back atmosphere here. The units are starting to show their age, but again, they are well maintained and very clean. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate any request, even letting me use their office computer to print out my boarding passes for my return airline trip.

The condo is located very close to Silver Dollar City on the same main road. Also nearby is Branson West and Branson with numerous grocery stores, restaurants, and of course the shows.

We plan on coming back here again, and again, and again.

Best Things Nearby:
Silver Dollar City, Tablerock Lake, close to Branson

Best Things About the Resort:
The condo was very clean and quite large for a studio. There was a welcome basket on the dining room table with various cereals, chips, energy bars, muffins, and popcorn... very convenient! There was 1/2 gallon of milk and 1/2 gallon of O.J. in the refrigerator also. No need to worry about breakfast the next morning!!

Resort Experience:
The unit was quite large for a studio. It had a full kitchen (small) and a ceramic and marble bath with a Jacuzzi. The resort has its own marina and dock. It's very easy to put your boat in a slip and then park the boat trailer in the allotted spot. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. We bought tickets for Silver Dollar City at the resort, thus eliminating the need to stand in line. The unit was clean and had a balcony with a view of the lake and surrounding property.

Best Things Nearby:
The lake is the best thing nearby, but Silver Dollar City is close by as well.

Best Things About the Resort:
This is a large resort that has several units lakeside as well as other units that are not lakeside but close by.

Resort Experience:
We had a fantastic week by the lake in our very clean and well-maintained lakeside condo. This resort is large and has three different sections, three different boat docks with covered slips, and three different outdoor pools. We enjoyed our nicely furnished condo, including the unscreened patio where we were not bothered by mosquitoes. Some units have an unobstructed lake view. (Request units 505 or 509 or one of their neighboring units for the best view of the lake.)

We enjoyed daily swims off of the boat dock and heated spa and did not even bother with the pools. We had perfect weather and skiied every day, and even spent one day at Silver Dollar City which was just up the road.

The resort had no activities that we knew of, instead letting you enjoy the lake and facilities which was fine as far as we were concerned. They offer free peddle boats, boat rentals, and a game room with pool table, ping pong, and some arcade games. The boat dock also has gas available for your boat that you can charge to your room (no cash sales.)

We were there the week before Labor Day, and it was a nice quiet week until Friday when the holiday traffic started picking up. By Saturday morning we were ready to leave as the parking lot was rapidly filling up. We were glad we wouldn't be there for the weekend.

We had an excellent week here and look forward to perhaps returning in a couple of years to do it all over again.

Lots of country music shows, mini-golf, go-cart tracks, amusement park, restaurants.

Best Things About the Resort:
Beautiful unit, two spacious bedrooms, deck, large kitchen, beautiful table rock lake, friendly prompt service. Close to everything.

Can be relaxing, but fun-filled, busy, and very entertaining. Loved light and music shows. Silver Dollar City is a lovely mountain and tree-filled amusement park for all ages.

I stayed at the Arcadia. It is a five star hotel with multiple pools, a large landscape, and about five restaurants. Although Thailand is third world country, this had to be the buy of the year. I was staying there for $59/night. The room was large, very clean, and comfortable. The first day we came back from the pool after the maids had been there we found it spotless. In fact, they had cleaned my hairbrush! I would highly recommend the Arcadia at Karon Beach. www.phuketarcadia.com
