When we arrived and paid the $45 cleaning fee (which of course is a no-choice option and only is intended to clean the unit before and after our stay) we went to our unit. It smelled awful! The bedrooms smelled like non-stop smoking had been going on for years! The living room (which looked exactly like the photos RCI lists—the blue couch and plaid drapes) was warn. The arms of the chair and sofa were dirty and worn, the cushions of the couch were stained with various colors of things, and had been turned over with even worse stans not showing. Overall, the place was gross.
I called the office and they told me they would offer an ionizer to help with the smell since they did not have any non-smoking units available and figured other units would smell, and that was a wide-spread problem in their units. And they said they would send up housekeeping to see about the couch stains, upon which we were unwilling to touch, let alone sit on. After waiting for someone to come for about an hour, and of course no one did, I told them we would have to do something else and find somewhere else to stay. Only at that point did they offer me a different room. I agreed to go see it and it was very nice and clean. It was also in a different building, which even from the outside appeared to be newer and in better repair. I accepted that unit, and we stayed. The two bedroom had two double beds in one bedroom and one king in the other, and the couch opened up into a bed. It had a full kitchen and stacked washer and dryer. There was an outdoor pool, large, but was only 4 feet at it's deepest. They had a lot of activities in which the kids participated.

We enjoyed the many varied restaurants, including Bovine's and Devine's and a small quaint Italian restaurant called Landolfi's. The pizza at Landolfi's was very close to the pizza we have at home in New Haven, CT at Pepe's Pizzeria on Wooster Street, and the Italian homemade pastry was to die for. We thoroughly enjoyed the flea markets and brand-name shopping, and Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing were marvelous day activities - with so much to do, you needed a day at each of them to see it all. The weather was terrific - temps were between 71 and 91 for the entire week and only one late evening of rain. The beaches were clean and the water was exceptionally clean. I can't think of one negative thing to say about the resort or the area and I highly recommend it for a great vacation.

The swimming pool was huge and very well taken care of. What I liked was we did not have to fight for a lounge chair.
The resort is only a few blocks from the beach but you would need a car to enjoy the entire area. I felt it was in a very safe community to allow the children to play outside alone and walk to the playground.
I would recommend this resort to anyone that enjoys a quiet evening in but may want to head out for a night of dancing the next night. You feel like you are miles and miles away from the heavy traffic on the strip.
