Description: The Ocean Plaza is another facility that I am too old to frequent. It is one of the oldest motels on the Myrtle Beach strand. It does have an oceanfront swimming pool that is 8 feet deep equipped with a sun deck. The indoor pool is located on the fourth floor. The indoor pool area was so warm it could have doubled as a sauna. The hotel has a very old, albeit serviceable elevator, and golf packages are available. It must be stated that the rates are very low.
The staff maintains that this is a family oriented motel run much like a mom and pop operation. I could see this as more likely a place where students on a limited budget that do not plan to spend a lot of time in their rooms might frequent.
It is certainly not luxury, but it is located in a convenient location to many tourist attractions and dining along the busiest part of the strip. It has a few handicap rooms, and all rooms are equipped with a mini-frig, cable television, in room safes, oceanfront private balconies.

I would not stay at this location and would not recommend it to my friends.
