This was a timeshare swap so I'm not certain of the pricing. We were looking for a short flight, low cost, relaxing vacation. It was truly a short flight from Charlotte airport. We got used to the common question "Are you golfers?" Sadly, no, but we were intent on getting in some miniature golf during our stay. Car rental was a breeze and finding our place was stress free. Just about everything you need in Myrtle Beach is on or off of one road. I had the fortune to book a place right in the midst of Restaurant Row. Every conceivable restaurant was minutes away. A Super Wal-Mart was one mile away and made the trip even more affordable. Our suite was on the 9th floor, the place had plenty of parking.

Our view was of a very large campground next door, another condo tower and of course the beach. We could see all the way up the curve of the beach into NC. Even though we were in the newest tower, our condo looked well used. It was very clean, everything was working, but it looked worn. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was a good size bathroom with sink, tub, and shower and also a separate bathroom, with sink and large mirror, separated by a door. Our balcony was comfortable for two but would have held four, with jockeying. Our view overlooked the four pools, the walkway to the beach. The full moon rose right in front of us making for beautiful reflections on the water. Sunrises were spectacular and we were able to experience the sunset colors, while the actual sunset was on the around the corner.

We made the mistake of signing up for a '15 minute' update of timeshare features. It turned into a 2 hour high pressure sales pitch of which we didn't feel bad turning down. The gift certificate we received for our ordeal paid for a wonderful meal at the Greg Norman Restaurant. We had an unusually warm week, so the locals told us. Maybe because it was a breather week, coming off of spring break but before biker weeks, waitstaff and people in general were in a talkative, unhurried mood.

We really had a nice time and found Myrtle Beach affordable and easy to get around. We don't feel a need to return as we'd rather go to Orlando. It was basically Orlando without Disney or Universal. The funny thing is that for us, Orlando would have been a direct flight, were this had a plane change.

The beach front location of this resort is excellent. It is off the main drag and so is relaxing and a great retreat from the bustle of Highway 17. It is less than five minutes from shopping centers and entertainment complexes however which again adds to the location value that you get when you stay here. Parking is abundant and private and sheltered. This is another great asset. Many timeshares in the Myrtle Beach area do not have enough parking on site and secure.

The size of our two bedroom sixth floor unit was very ample. You could easily feel comfortable with six adults. They provide a full kitchen. You have a great ocean view from both the living room and master bedroom. The colors were light and tropical and the maintenance both inside and out was excellent. The lobby of our building, the North Tower, had an art deco theme that was very nice. The elevator of course was a must and was never an issue. With a comfortable apartment, on site restaurant and a newly opened coffee and ice cream shop going out to eat is optional. However in Myrtle Beach, everyone takes advantage of that option. The multiple pools and adjacent beach make it difficult to find the time though. All in all, this was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone who has access to vacation in timeshare units.

This was a very beautiful resort with many things to offer. This resort has two lazy rivers, five outdoor pools, two indoor pools, two indoor whirlpools, nine outdoor whirlpools, an exercise room, game room, tiki pool bar, restaurant, and gift shop. The rooms have a full kitchen with dishwashers and a washer/dryer in each room. We stayed in the two-bedroom deluxe, which had one king-size bed in one room and two twin beds in the other room and a queen sofa. It had two full bathrooms and a balcony that you could see the ocean from. It was absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this resort. The only downside was that it was pretty far away from anything in Myrtle Beach. We had to rent a car to get anywhere.

Best Things Nearby:
Beachfront location, more than 100 golf courses

Best Things About the Resort:
Located directly on the beach, six major pools, tons of Jacuzzi tubs, and two lazy rivers for the kids

Resort Experience:
Sea Watch is a great location that we've visited every summer since 2000. There are two towers (north and south), each with plenty of one-, two-, and three-bedroom oceanfront rooms. There truly is not a bad view from any of them. The summer crowds can be a bit much, so if you can travel there in the fall or early winter you can have the beach to yourself!
