The complex is located in and surrounded by major construction projects, and about 30-45 minutes each way from the strip.
The accommodations inside were very nice, but the view from the small patio is the complex parking lot.
I don't know how they received their Gold Crown but I would not trade my Gold Crown week for this -- I'd find one on the strip. Just our opinion, but we will not be visiting the Cliffs again.

This is a great place for families if you don't like to spend much time on the strip. Although this review sounds negative, it was a nice place to stay and would've been perfect if we had rented a car.
I now have something to compare this resort to (Carlsbad Seapointe) and realize that many of the "luxury" amenities are missing from the Cliffs. I was not aware of an activities desk that would provide robes, umbrellas, board games, pool toys, etc. I also was not told of any "family activities" that were available such as scavenger hunts, craft times, movie nights, or ice cream socials. The Cliffs became more "average" in my eyes, and less "family friendly" since I've had another RCI resort experience.
