The Best Hotel In Key West

I have never written a review before, but feel that this hotel deserves one. We arrived early and since our room wasn't ready, they instantly upgraded us to an ocean view suite. The room was new and beautifully appointed. It was right above the dock and restaurant, but even though it was spring break, you could hardly hear any noise. It had a large marble shower and a jetted bathtub and a half dozen comfortable chairs, both inside and on the huge deck. Being at the very end of Duvall street and next to Mallory Square placed it in the best location possible for activities, yet how it was oriented made it private and peaceful. The pool was small, by today's standards, but very nice and sheltered from the wind. The restaurant on the Hotel's dock served good and inexpensive food and had a remarkable band. The only negative thing that I could even think of is that they need to replace the mattress on the hide a bed. I truly felt sorry for our two boys trying to sleep on it. It was really bad and based on what else I saw, I feel it had to be an oversight and easily correctable.
During our stay, I had an emergency health problem and ended up at the hospital twice. Not only did the staff literally run to help, but the housekeeping manager came in at 8:00 that night and personally cleaned our room. We have stayed at some of the top resorts in America and I feel that the Noble House did a remarkable job with this hotel. We plan on looking for more of their hotels to stay in for our future travels.
Great place, great location....

Made last minute reservations to celebrate 20 years of marriage. We were supposed to have a jr. suite and was upgraded to a 1 BR suite without having to ask and at no extra charge. The suite was very large and decorated exactly as you see on the website. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!! We arrived at the hotel at noon. They held ou bags and called us at 2:00 to let us know our room was ready. The pool was the best -- overlooking the water, watching boats go by and watching the sunset at night. Everything you need is close. Taxi drive recommended Turtle Kraals along the Harborwalk for lunch upon arrival. We had a great lunch there. Pepe's had a wonderful breakfast. We are definitely planning on returning and staying again at Ocean Key. You will not be disappointed.

Great location! Right on Mallory Square. Staff was courteous. Room was clean, cozy and comfortable. The bathtub was needing a few minor updates (bath/jacuzzi tub had a very slow drain and caulking needed repair.) Room service was terribly slow! Otherwise it was an overall great place to stay. We had a great view of the Gulf and sunsets! Poolside bar was great too. Roosters certainly "call" for an early wake-up as well as hotel maintenance. But, hey, that's Key West!!! Would stay there again!
Nice amenities, excellent staff, perfect location!

We went to Key West for a short couples getaway. We were looking for a laid back and relaxing vacation. Key West is a great place to go to just hang out and enjoy some good food and drink. Our room was not technically ocean view, but we did have a nice view of the water from our balcony. The room was in need of some minor repairs, but overall was clean and adequate for the price. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep after having read other travellers reviews, but the rooms are actually very sound-proof and the roosters and night life were never a problem. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Directly in front of the hotel is a wave runner rental place and our favorite day activity was when we went on a guided tour aroung the island on the wave runners. They are brand new (only 3days old when we were there!) and we had a great time looking at all the multimillion dollar homes and seeing the military jets flying very closely overhead. We spent one night going to the drag shows and that was a really great time. Overall, the people of Key West are fabulous and friendly and we would love to go again.

Started off on a bad note, while at check in realized that we had left a bag on airplane. Desk staff promptly provided numbers to contact airline and locate bag. This was followed by news that we had been upgraded from Jr Suite/Cityview to 2 Bdrm Suite/Oceanview! From what we saw the Jr would have been enough room but the 2 Bdrm was huge. Overall, very clean and nice ammenities. Our one complaint was the weather. Only 1 good day to use the pool. Drinks were great and staff attentive. Renovations are almost done(completing extension to pier). Stayed at B&B on other end of Duval on last visit. No need to go anywhere else than here. Location is right in the middle of nightlife, restaurants and shopping. Resort is quiet when that is what you want. We wanted to party on last night so asked if we could delay checkout time. This was no problem and they held bags until we had to catch cab to airport.
