Awful Service

the staff is rude, they don't know what they are doing, and it seems they were pulled from a motel 6 and put in nicer clothes. we requested a block of rooms all on the same floor months in advance and had it written in a contract, and when we arrived they said it was too bad and that they couldn't do anything for us, they don't care what the contract says. when we misplaced a few items in the restaurant, it took over a week to get it back after several phone calls, and the food was disgusting and overpriced. wouldn't stay there again even if it was free - too much of a hassle.

Quirky but clean

We selected the Custom Hotel because of its proximity to LAX. It was spotlessly clean, had a friendly front desk staff, and a hilarious wake-up call. The room was stark, one chair, bed low and in the middle of the tiny room, but it was adequate, quiet, and we would stay there again. Complimentary shuttle service was also a bonus.

this is really a great property at a great price, close to the airport, close to the 405, close to Marina del Rey. very convenient if your business or pleasure is south of the city. the room was terrific, very comfortable and funky. the only problem i had was the food service which closes at 11 PM. i missed it the first night, so made sure i ordered room service by 10 PM the next night, but the food never arrived. Anyway, there's a Ralph's Supermarket next door so save the minibar money for gas !

Custom Hotel Los Angeles

Forced $22.00 a night valet parking. Black hallway walls with black carpet and red lights for lighting. Bathrooms are gray painted floors, black carpets in room. No closets, just racks. Unless you are super hip and very tolerant forget this place.
