it is very good hotel with water activities:snorkeling near hotel, pool, cayak, etc. Hotel is excellent, convenient, 10 minutes from airport. bus and ferry to Atlantis, Nassau. We had a wonderful time with my 13-year old daughter: quite and relaxing.

Its Better at the Wyndham Nassau

Well...FIrst let me say I am an "insider" to the hotel indusrty, as my husband and I are hoteliers in Charleston, South Carolina. Dealing with the public is difficult and this hotel deals with the public beautifully. A guest to the Bahamas should be aware that the inhabitants of the island are just that. They live in a goregous setting in the middle of the Atlantic and there is no reason to rush. SO relax! this hotel has a fabulous staff that greets and meets your every need. They are polite soft spoken and well trained and believe me, we've been going there for 30 years and the training has finally paid off. The rooms are CLEAN, the lobbies are CLEAN the Restaurants are CLEAN the employees are CLEAN! every where you turn there is someone to wish you a good morning, afternoon or evening. There is interest in you as a guest and your satisfaction is paramount. The hotel is large and spread out with several towers, once you get the routes down its fun time. Beach is right outside the back doots of the hotel. A guest can reserve a "cabana", but its really a sunbrella tent, drinks and snack are provided by a smiling accomodating staff member. The pool is large with a small but furious water slide. Alittle too fast for some tastes, don't confuse it with Atlantis' slide this is not a hear stopper its for everyone. The pool itself can be a little cleaner there was some debris floating by with so many bodies it needs a boost to its filteration system, but its OK. There is a sea lagoon and water activities. Great fun and it won't cost an arm and a leg. Can't wait to go back. More convienent and than Atlantis.

Room was nice and clean. Food was great, but pricey. Everything there requires a 15% gratuity automatically---I think tipping should be left to guests to decide amount based on services received. The people at time share tables hounded everyone who passed by them. This was annoying and needs to be changed.

Was worried when I read reviews on here after I booked. Here's what I found- good & bad: Good: Only the new/renovated rooms were available. Looked just like the picture- bed was average, duvet covers were great! Asked nicely for an upgrade to an ocean view, was patient and we actually got one! (no charge) Great little shack across the street with cheap daquiri's- try the mango- fresh fruit with rum! Yum! Pool & beach area were beautiful. Also easy to reach the Sheratons outdoor facilties- water slide was awesome- even for us "big kids" (FYI-I was there with my same-sex partner and didn't receive any negative looks etc from staff or patrons) Not so Great: Our refrigerator didn't get very cold inside If you're going for the casino- it's a bit small The "hotel association" sales pitch was pretty pushy, but we got $ off our snorkeling trip! The hotel stores were spotty in the open hours, but who cares- go outside it's gorgeous! The hotel restaurants were too pricey for us- $per person. Could get hamburgers, icecream etc for under $. Also hotel is 5 miles from Nassau where cheaper fast food was. Bottled water cost $ in restaurant. The buses are only $ but stop at 6pm. Taxi's operate for $15/ride, which adds $ to your dinner costs if you wanted to go back to Nassau. I saw many complaints on this hotel for slow response time, etc. Just remember that you're going to a different culture that self-proclaims to run on "Bahamian time" -you will enjoy your stay. If you are seeking 5 star treatment with the absolute best service and facilties- try the Atlantis! We are young professionals who had a luxurious, reasonably priced vacation. We were very happy with it!
