Our room wasn't huge or luxurious, but the ocean view was amazing! If you read the little cards in the room, to have the sheets and towels changed daily you have to leave the card on the bed and not put the towels back on the towel rack. Housekeeping cleaned daily, so I imagine the other guest reviewer didn't read the cards. I hope you don't go to the Bahamas to spend much time in your hotel room anyway. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and you have full use of the Sheraton's pools and beach as well.
My only complaint is that the hotel gives day passes to cruise ship passengers, so on one day of our stay the pool was full of drinking 22 year-olds for whom they provided a DJ. Also, Bahamian Independence Day occurred during our stay and on that day the hotel hosted a BBQ, had a live band playing over the pool, and invited anyone who wanted to come, so the pool was REALLY loud and crowded that day.
I absolutely would stay at the Wyndham again, but I would plan to be away from the hotel on the day the cruise ship passengers were coming.
Was a pretty good stay overall

The rooms were clean and everything worked properly. While shopping downtown I realized that I hadn't taken all of the bills I had placed under the mattress only to return to my room and have them sitting on the nightstand (very honest housekeeper). The staff was very friendly and helpful although the male staff flirted non stop and made part of the stay quite uncomfortable. Nice proximity to downtown and I loved the exercise at the pool in the mornings. Will definetly stay again.
Avoid Spring Break

Our 2 room suite overlooking the water was beautiful. Too bad the hotel was crawling with hundreds of high schoolers. Spring break at the Wyndham caters to Grad City partyers. Forget about relaxing at the beach area, which is tiny to begin with. A large MTV-type stage is set up to blast music daily. We heard screaming all hours of the night and felt like outsiders in our own hotel. I would stay at the Sheraton next door, that's where we had to go for the beach. It's a much nicer beach anyway and so is the beach bar. I should thank the Wyndham for introducing us to a much nicer and updated hotel.
"WHAT A DUMP" WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!

Well, let's see! Where should I start? This resort is the pits. This was my second time staying at this resort. The first time in 90's was very enjoyable but this time not pleasant. The hotel is in great need of an overhaul. It rained just about everyday and the rain dripped through the ceilings. Towels were placed on the floors throughout the resort. My room had to be changed due to the infestation of ants. You couldn't place your clothing in the draws because of the ants. You couldn't even pour yourself a drink without the ants taking over the glass. How disgusting! The hidden fees were ridiculous. Local calls were $1.00 when local calls on the island are free. They charged $15.00 per day to use the internet, where if you go over to the Sheraton, the internet is free! (Inside the lobby and rooms). Face clothes had to be requested quite frequently and also pillows. The food was overpriced at the Seaside Buffet. You would do better if you went to the local Fish Fry. The free theater show was terrible. You wouldn't know the hotel had a show unless you visited the area in the casino advertising the freak show. Not only was the show horrific, but the Rainforest Theater was musty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in over a century. Dust was caked on to the plastic plants that surrounded the place. Please, if I had a thousand tongues, I could not tell you how disgusting this place was. I must say that the management staff was very accommodating. But as the saying goes, "The sqeaky wheel gets the oil". Complaining was the only way to get any service. Do yourself a favor. "DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE" "RUN LIKE HELL"!!!!!!
We'll go back!

Our most recent stay was for 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The Casino tower rooms are older but have the best view (beach/waterfront and pool area), not to mention they're closer to the casino; the Marlin tower has better rooms but not the best views. The food at all of the venues in the hotel is overpriced, but it is tasty. Yes, they do tack on a 15% gratuity to most everything so save your $$ and catch a bus or taxi downtown and eat with the locals (try the area known as Fish Fry). The hotel has a * per person/per day "Resort Fee" so be prepared for that too. (Seems all of the hotels in NAS have some sort of resort fee though so you're not going to get away from it.) The band at the bar upstairs (22 Above) is AWESOME! We enjoy listening to them and speaking with the members every time we return. If you're looking for 5-star service, this is not the place for you, check in at Atlantis and be prepared to part with some serious cash while they cater to you. If you're looking for a clean, safe, comfortable, convenient and all around enjoyable time, the Wyndham Nassau is just the place. There are a lot of other hotels in the area that could learn a few lessons from these folks and they are always improving the facility. The Miss Universe pagent is coming to NAS and they are cleaning up their act, repaving the roads, etc... We're already planning our next trip over!
