Pool was drained for repair, not told this at time of reservations and when asked for compensation I got the run around, hotel blamed travelocity and travelocity blamed hotel, No one wanted to take the blame so the customer (me) took it in the shorts. Will never go back, did not realize I was not talking to Red Lion directly but a third party (travelocity) It was a scam. I think one should be told they are not talking to the hotel directly but probably someonein another country who can barely speak english. Pools are a mainstay of hotels and if they are not going to be available this should beupfront information, not listed as an amenitie that doesn,t exist. You people should get together and make it right.

It is a GREAT Hotel, Excellent Service, Wonderful staff. Food was good. Very clean rooms. I defiantly will stay there again next time I am in Spokane. The staff was very helpful in making dinner reservations at another restaurant for our group. Always a shuttle when it was requested, VERY VERY NICE HOTEL Riverfront Park and the Spaokne River is just outside the door so you can have a good meal & then go for a walk in the park.
Physically decent, mostly indifferent staff, overpriced overall

The building is nice, with a pretty pool area and well-kept grounds. The walls seemed well-insulated, since we were right by the pool, but didn't hear much noise. All lighting worked, and the air conditioner was efficient. The small refrigerator was in a cabinet, so no noise there. The window actually opened slightly, which was good for fresh air. There was one hair in the tub; otherwise, the room was very clean. The bed was quite possibly the most comfortable I've ever slept in, anywhere. They charge for local calls, which is cheesy. The computer in the lobby requires a credit card, although the first 10 minutes are free (wow); $3.99 for each 15 minutes thereafter. There is free wi-fi for those who drag along a laptop. No breakfast included, but the basic breakfast bar was $8. The restaurant had a variety of tempting-sounding dishes, but was fairly expensive. I had a salad which was appealing, tasty, but skimpy. The biggest disappointment was the Front Desk. When asking a quick question, an employee in street clothes acted like I shouldn't be talking to her. The desk clerk, who had to stop what he was doing to answer me, seemed as if he had just wakened from a nap. Checkout was the worst. My roommate left first, and they charged everything to my card. When she kindly pointed this out, they corrected the amount, but couldn't give her a receipt in her name. When I checked out, the clerk first tried to blame my roommate for not telling her the room charges were split, which we told them at check-in. Then it was the first clerk's fault for not "leaving a note". (Splits are easily done by the hotel software.) She didn't apologize, and smirked while refusing to give information.
