Snug between apartment blocks, Hotel V was a great surprise. It’s sleek and hip without being uncomfortable. The lobby has an amazing fireplace and free Internet access. The staff was very helpful. The rooms are like something out of an IKEA catalog, but that’s a good thing. Breakfast is served every morning in cute room with cow-print stools. Fellow guests seemed a little worse for the wear after a hard night of partying. The clientele was varied, though: Americans, Italians, British, and Dutch. This is a real gem, and the neighborhood has a lot of bakeries and restaurants. Plus, there are two excellent grocery stores only steps away from the hotel. Brave the trek to this great hotel. Being off the map is an adventure, even in a major city like Amsterdam.
We negotiated a rate of 100€ for an extended stay of 6 nights. A great deal!
