My Hotel Glenn Experience

This is a nice contemp hotel. There was a problem getting a double, which I req in Nov 2006. That left only one bed and a pull-out. The first night the air was broken. We went to another room. By the time it was over, I had stayed in 3 rooms and was only there for 2 nights. This hotel also sits on a busy street & all night long we heard traffic. From buses to trucks, we heard it all and couldn't sleep for most of the night. I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel in the future. It's too loud to get a good nights sleep.

Rooms are smallish, but well appointed: flat panel TV, well stocked mini-bar, alarm clock w/MP3 input, desk, safe, robes, and nice linens. Only shower, no bathtub, but shower was large and nicely tiled. Window between shower and bedroom was a bit unusual and forced you to close shower curtain to use other bathroom facilities with privacy, but fit w/room. Gym stocked with towels and water, and two flat panel TVs. Service was great. After leaving I realized that I left a pair of sunglasses in my room. They were found and shipped 2nd day air at the hotel's cost.
"Really neat boutique hotel, but noisy"

I'm not a hotel expert, don't know if something can be done to soundproof rooms that face major traffic. Sleep was a major challenge. After complaining twice by second day, did get much quieter room. Otherwise, really neat place, very mod, hip, retro, etc. Free internet a plus! Bedding wonderful! Be prepared for a window from bedroom into the shower (60s-type metal beads on bedroom side as "curtain"). You can see right through. So you need not to be the shy type, or take a shower with the light low or off (at least you can dim it). A lot of unusual and creative touches throughout.

This is really the only hotel of it's kind that I know of in Atlanta. The B.E.D. lounge is def one of the hippest spots in the city to have a drink before going out or give an excuse for a nightcap. it is also close to the Tabernacle, which is not mentioned in it's description. Great place for a sexy weekend fling.
Funky Cool Hotel

The decor is very cool; the bar is hip. The rooms were New York size. Very comfortable, great bed, flat screen and nice bathroom We didn't try the restaurant, B.E.D. (which does, indeed, have beds around the room). They didn't offer breakfast but did offer a nice (based on the menu) brunch on Sunday The location was awesome since it was a short walk to the Geogia Dome. We took Marta in from the airport and had a short walk from Five Points. The staff was helpful, even finding some batteries for our camera.
