We have no complaints about this hotel, as it was a very nice experience. I confirm what other members said about the friendliness of the staff. The hotel is always very quiet. Despite them telling me it was fully booked, I had the impression we were the few guests at the hotel. We had a great experience at the restaurant: I booked the welcome menu on arrival day, and we got an excellent meal for about 30€ each with a complimentary bottle of wine. In the library there are some interesting illustrated books about Florence and Tuscany that you can borrow during your stay. We found very interesting images and information before our tour to Siena and San Giminiano. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations and offered us the right atmosphere to enjoy Florence and its surroundings.

Montebello Splendid Hotel
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, this is really a good place I can recommend. Clean room, great facilities and walking distance to shopping area. Everybody was very friendly and helpful, but in particular Ilvano, the bar man, was super. I spent hours talking to him, tasting some fabulous red wines and eating delicious appetizers he prepares during happy hour. He knows a lot of interesting stories about Florence and he was more than happy to share with us. If you’re staying at Montebello don’t miss the happy hours and a chat with Ilvano, and obviously his magic cocktails. Grazie Mille.
