Hi - i booked a late trip july 4th weekend ( like on the 2nd ) this was the only place in Franklin left ( a few places we're available in other towns ), at first I didn't want to stay after reading some of the reviews - but went ahead and booked it - GLAD THAT I DID - Staff was friendly, the room was very very clean , location is great , the room was large , bathroom was spotless - mini fridge and microwave and coffemaker in room - We'll be staying here again - Nice place to stay with family - The pool is great - lots of pool toys for kids - Nice outside area to sit and chat - We are planning another weekend trip here in a few weeks ( we like to go to the ruby mines ) and we are staying here - Don't be afraid - this is a great place to stay !!!!!

An older motel in the vein of the 1950s travelling! A real pull your car up to your room door type of motel! Do not let that concern you though, Carolina Motel is well taken care of!! Very clean room, with a very helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay and have just reserved another room for a long weekend this September as well! The area is fantastic and the locals are wonderful! Restaurants range from the "Home Cooking, Mom and Pop" to national chains! Do yourself a favor and try this place!!

Although we had a written confirmation with us, stating three people would be staying, we were charged $5.00 extra for a third person. Then we had to request a third set of towels. The grout in bathroom was black. And the motel OWNER was surly and uncooperative.

The hotel was older and a little worn. It was very clean. The pool needed repair, but noodles and spray guns were available for the kids. We had no hot water the last night of our trip, because of no propane. They refunded $20.00 for the inconvienience. No one was in the office after 10 pm. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

When my daughter and i arrived and checked in we called family to let them know or room number. When they tried to call the room they were told we were not in. Come to find out the phone did not work. Complained at front desk and nothing was done.We were asked if we really planned on using the phone that weekend!!
