After much effort looking for Verona hotels online, I settled on Novo Hotel Rossi due to its proximity to the train station and its reasonable price (EUR 74). Arriving into the station at midnight, it was quite difficult to find the hotel; we must have searched for it for 1/2 an hour. The hotel itself was quite nice; the rooms were clean and large -- better than expected. And the breakfast was wonderful, with cappuccino offered along with coffee or tea.
However, the hotel is located off a main street so can be quite noisy. In addition, it's a 20 minute walk into the centre of town, definitely too far for my taste. The problem with Verona hotels seems to be the lack of reasonably-priced hotels available online. It seems as if you have to know the name of the hotel, find the phone number and call. Hotels we saw include Grand Hotel, Hotel Trieste and Hotel Europa, all located in the centre of the city.
