My best friend and I went on this trip as a graduation gift from our mothers... May 1st - 8th. Honestly I have not one complaint. I wish we could have stayed there much longer. The resort is beautiful, very fun and clean, the staff is so friendly and helpful. The beach is breathtaking, and the weather was tremendous. Honestly, I'm not sure why people are so picky when it comes to all-inclusive 4-star plus vacation spots... ultimately your trip is going to be as good as you allow it to be, and we had a great time despite being tired or sick some days. My family background is Jamaican, so I can definately speak on behalf of the tradtiional food that was prepared and served...IT WAS BEYOND FANTASTIC! I could not get enough...gained about 5lbs, but it was well worth it. I highly recommend this resort! my only suggestions are to bring high SPF sunscreen because you WILL burn, tip generously/ accordingly the first couple days because the workers do a really great job and they deserve it/ they will look out for you and take care of you the remainder of your stay, and just bring a great attitude! ...don't act like you are better or higher than the staff and expect to be waited on hand and foot....no one likes a snob... THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM
Huge Dissappointment!

I wouldnt recommend this place for those who are looking for a bunch of activities and fun! I was very disappointed. The power kept going out and stayed out for quite some time. The first 2 days I was there it went out at least 4 times. There were no activies - they had the board with daily activies but nobody ever came around to conduct them. They had no music playing. The food was the same all the time maybe only 2 food choices changed each day. The beds were a little too firm and housekeeping took forever to clean them. Which isnt that big of a deal since we werent really in the romm at all. They had nothing to do on the beach, they left all the glasses on the beach and barely came to pick them up. If you dont get clean beach towles by about 1:00pm you're pretty much screwed even tho the towel box closes at 6.00pm! Everyone is friendly, but the guys are very touch! I will say they do work hard, most of them. My uncle didn't get the ocean front view he paid a extra 200$ for. His air wasnt working and it took them 48 hours to fix it and he had to stay in the romm while they were there and before they came. It was just overall a terrible experiece for me and my family. And for some of us it was our first time out of the county and at an all inclusive and it was just a huge disappointment! We'll stick with Mexico next time! no disappointments there! Nobody enjoyed themselves in Jamaica because they had nothing to do or any activities! we actually tried to transfer to a differet hotel thats how bad it was!

Just got back a few days ago ....we loved it. Beautiful views, everything you could imagine to eat and drink. Everyone is supper friendly. Couldn't have asked for better service. I would go to any RIU resort again. Variety of shows some good some kind of boring after awhile but you don't have to go to them if you don't want to. Bed was a bit firm for my taste but my husband loved it. I think that's just a thing in Jamacia from those I"ve talked to. It's also a preference thing. Everything was clean. They were cleaning 24 hours a day! A few times during the stay a bathroom near the pools was a little messy but not horrilbe where you didn't want to use it...a lot of sand and wet smell. What do you expect being right by the pool/ocean. I did see poeple cleaning it several times a day.

When we arrived we discovered that they had given our Junior suite to someone else. The room they put us in did not have a working telephone and safe. The toilet seat was broken as well. We moved to another room the next day, however it was moldy and extremely mildew .It overlooked a parking lot that had a couple of vendors. But in all fairness if you leaned over the balcony and looked far right you could see the ocean. We had paid for an ocean view. The next day it rained and the resort smelled like raw sewage. We had a hard time getting wash cloths, and one day we had to call for them to clean our room. They came at 6:00 pm. Our door keys stopped working at least 3 times during our stay.
We lliked the beach, food and the local help working at the hotel.
Beautiful hotel!

Stayed May 16 to May 23/09.
Very wet. It rained almost everyday; however May is rainy season in Jamaica. Overall, good food. Japanese restaurant wasn't the greatest but the Asian one and the normal dining hall was good. Lots of choice. Rooms were great- we stayed in a junior suite. Beds and pillows a bit lumpy but staff was very helpful. Rooms were very clean. Pools were clean and never packed. Shows are night were awesome! Very entertaining. Tours outside resort were a bit pricy but we were able to find better deals down the beach and by booking our own taxi.
Book a method of transportation before your trip to your hotel as taxis rip off tourists.
