Place was very dirty & OLD... Tub drain was full of hair; I took my showers with flip-flops on... Office reeked of bleach and continental breakfast was a joke, smelled sooo bad where they served breakfast you couldn't eat... Only good this was closeness to Lackland AFB.. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra. Lots of other hotels close by... Would NEVER stay here again....

The hotel was close tot he AFB so we chose it. A drive would be worth it. The shower didn't have hot water 2/4 mornings and when it got hot, you couldn't turn it down enough. The toilet seat was missing a part so it was crooked and shifted every time you sat down. Pool looked cloudy...we wouldn't go in. The walls were flourescent green and poorly painted. Old a/c units and rolls of old rug sat in the parking lot as we drove to our room. Wouldn't stay there ever again...they depend on that one time visit.

We would definitely stay there again. Perfect for AF graduation. Not luxurious but clean and just what you need for a weekend's stay. Owner's/ employees were very polite and helpful.

We went to see our son graduate from Lackland AFB and the hotel was great. I was able to go out side and actually sit and watch his squadrom in formation every morning. Everyone was polite and very nice. I would diffently stay there again it was well worth the money.

Okay- when we pulled up to the hotel that we had already reserved and saw the bright yellow paint we just knew we were in the ghetto! The room inside was neon green... but on the other bright side- we had clean sheets, clean towels, hot water, cable, and sooo close to the AF base that we didn't have to wait in traffic to get on the base- we were like the 3rd car after pulling out of the parking lot.. The location was well worth it- b/c San Antonio traffic is nothing to play with!!! Overall our stay at the CareFree Inn was pleasant- it wasn't the Hilton but for the money spent- we had NO problems!!!
