We loved the location. Close to Train station and in walking distance to all the attractions. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Will go back anytime.

The hotel is in a safe area, about a 5 minute walk from the Duomo and other must-see sites. It's very well-kept establishment with a staff that is willing to accomodate any and all requests; in Italian or English ! The rooms are newly renovated and rather nice. It's not the Waldorf, but you're not paying Waldorf prices. Would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy everything Firenze has to offer during the day while coming back to a clean, comfortable hotel at night !

We are very glad we chose the Carolus. It is within walking distance - even for seniors - of all the major historical features and many delightful, excellent restaurants. The breakfast served each morning included such a variety that we were always satisfied.. The staff is outstanding - friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. When we were uncertain about confiming our return reservations, the staff handled it all for us quickly and professionally. This was truly our home away from home and we recommend the Carolus to anyone going to Florence. If we could give it 6 stars, we would.

We stayed at the Carolus Hotel in November 2006 and had a very good time there. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are immaculate, lovely pale yellow walls, high ceilings, clean sheets and towels daily, small safe in each room for vaulables, wireless internet connection in room, super breakfast w/ perfect capuccino and ripe fruit, nice water pressure and plenty of hot water for showers, good location to walk anywhere in Florence, small laundry/dry cleaner next door, great places to eat, even a wonderful vegetarian restaurant 2 blocks away.
