Description: I have had a lot of organized meeting but that give me the chance to stay at a lot of hotels. I’m positioned lately a lot in the Netherlands which is good, because it’s were I original come from. When I read the invitation that I had to be at the Holiday Inn in Eindhoven, I thought, yes that's familiar territory for me. I know these places well.
Location
Address: 1 Field Marshal Montgomery Avenue in Eindhoven. Easy to find and you can’t miss it really when using a navigation system of course. Nothing surprising about when you look at the building with the typical Holiday Inn style. A large concrete block with lots of rooms and windows. I thought, another good location, about 10 minutes walk from the center.
In the hotel's 206 contemporary rooms are restyled. The entire hotel is smoke free.
Parking
Here I started to annoy me. Because they were busy with construction work. The secure parking lot was crowded. I had already taken a parking ticket, but luckily I could pay within the time since. After I first had difficulty maneuvering to turn. But outside on the street I found a place. 50 cents per half hour parking. Well I took the card, because when I came back parking attendants were handing out coupons. I walked past the building through the back entrance. Here people were busy working with many renovations.
Arrival
You enter the hotel and you're immediately in a large lobby with a glossy black tiled floor and wooden shades of brown and copper much everywhere. The beautifully designed reception desk gives you the feeling of luxurious, very different than I expected .. It looks nice, light and space out. There is an elevator in the building and disabled facilities.
Reception
Friendly staff, that was my first impression I was in a good way out to the meeting room. I walked in the direction where the boy had pointed out to me and I could look further. Opposite the reception is a cozy lounge facility here where you have a business meeting.
The style
What a super-modern chairs and seats. There have been some good architects at work. I understood later from the hotel manager, two architectural firms have been involved to restyle this hotel. Super modern design combined with nostalgic French. In the brasserie, this good example fully reflected.
The bar
Around the oblong modern, very modern design are again shaped bar stools. There is a separate bar for example, a cup of coffee. Just been nice to sit here and nice to look at the various devices. Opposite the bar is a modern seating area with tables and chairs whose design fits in your house wants. There is much to gain from beer to spirits. Even coffee and tea.
Basserie Flo
Let me start with the name. FLO is a famous restaurant chefs in Paris. That names simply stands for quality. Again you will see a high tech design with neatly laid tables and a sort of Art Nouveau lamps. French and modern combine perfectly with each other. But that's not the real eyecatcher. That really is the enormous kitchen. Menus are based on French cuisine. My lunch consisted of an appetizer of foie gras, a main course of scallops with a spicy rice and a typical French dessert (creme brulee) of warm vanilla pudding with a crispy layer of sugar. Exactly the right way prepared. We were in a large open room with beautiful moody lights on the ceiling. Large round tables for 8 to 10 people.
The service was super. It was easily and quickly served and cleared. Attention to each guest. Your glass was empty or did they ask if you wanted to drink some more. My fork fell to the ground. The boy who served me shot me a quick rescue. Here, many restaurants still have to learn something.
You can also lunch and dinner. On the menu you will find meat and fish. Just read the various dishes with the wonderful French names have been tempting. All at reasonable prices and very tidy. Anything prices, an Alsatian sauerkraut or 18.75 for a steak for 22 euros.
I really go back, because they have a real specialty. A seafood platter for two people. It is pricey (125 euro for two people) but as in France with various seafood, from oysters to lobster and langoustines.
Other facilities
In the entire hotel is wireless Internet available. There is an information desk where you can get leaflets and brochures on area attractions. But the staff also helps you to point your business. There is also a swimming pool and a fitness room in the hotel. But unfortunately I could not go! I had to meet. Oh, one more thing. You can get a cookbook at the reception of Brasserie FLO.
Meeting space
There are conference facilities for various groups. From 5 persons to 200 persons.
In the room where we were happy it was daylight. How many meeting rooms did I not sat that if you 'go out at night, you do not know what the weather was today. Just lovely. There is air conditioning in the room and of course all meeting facilities such as internet connection, projector and screens. We could even do video conferencing with someone from England. Super. At the break, you walk outside and you're meeting in the foyer, where you can take some coffee and tea.
Sanitary
Surely not a pleasant topic you are talking about. But I tell something about. Beautiful shape signs that show you the way. A small detail, but striking. A large room with six toilets. Neat clean and very hygienic. The sinks are again beautifully designed with sensor taps and very hygienic.
The rooms
Unfortunately I couldn’t stay long and only for one night and it was really only more to sleep because a lot of my time went into the meeting. The rooms are beautifully done and look really modern. They have a lemon green with brown color so really fresh. The bed was very comfortable and the room had all the facilities you would expect. The bathroom was spacious and neat. Certainly a good room.
Pay
You can pay cash and your credit card.
General
For me this was a great discovery and they did a great job with the restyling. This is a blessing of comfort, luxury, high tech and French atmosphere. Excellent meeting facilities. For me, they deserve praise for this one. The Brasserie Flo, I can only recommend. A good extensive menu with excellent dishes. What I ate was very good. With a great ministry. I give this hotel five stars because they simply deserve it.
