Great hotel

  • December 6, 2006
  • Rated 5 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
The staff was terrific - very helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from the Park and was pretty quiet. We were there in the off season, so I make no promises about the summer time. Recommended

We made arrangements to stay here while in Idaho Falls. It is so gorgeous. The room was spacious and very clean. Easy walk to the lodge or ride the train that constantly comes around. Loved it. Great price. Recommend to everyone.

For the price of the room, Ruby's should spend a little on updating them. If being right outside the park is worth half the price, then this is a good value. This hotel draws very large groups (busloads), so waits at the restaurant can be very long.

Best Western Ruby's Inn

The Best Western at Ruby’s Inn is the closest accommodation to the Bryce Canyon National Park. It’s made of several buildings and has enough parking spaces. The also have a campground and an RV park.

We had a room in the main building, and it was large and clean. The room has airco, a TV, and a coffee maker. Our room even had a jacuzzi located in the bedroom, very lovely and relaxing after a full day of hiking.

'You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is all buffet. We had lunch and dinner in their restaurant because of the lack of other options. The food was average. They also have a very large supermarket where you can find everything you need, but it was a bit pricey. Also in the main lodge is an indoor pool, but we didn’t use it.

If you need tickets for the Bryce Canyon, then you can buy them at the office in the hotel. You can also get their park maps and other information. Right in front of the hotel is the Bryce canyon Shuttle bus stop.

Best Western’s Ruby Inn

If you’re staying at Bryce Canyon, this is the place to stay. It is right outside the park entrance. They offer everything to make your vacation special including horseback riding, helicopter tours, a rodeo during the summer months, guided tours using many modes of transportation.
They have over 350 rooms, indoor pools and spas, a few 2-bedroom suites, a Laundromat, post office, a one hour photo shop, a gas station (garage too) and three restaurants (only one is open year round).
The hotel also has three separate shopping areas, Ruby’s General Store (food and supplies), Ruby’s Western Art Gallery and Old Bryce Town Shops. Here you will find western apparel, cameras and camera supplies, souvenirs of all kinds and many Indian made goods.
The rooms vary in size and price. They have a single for around $50 in the off-season to a Family Unit that goes for over $130 in the summer months. We stayed here in early April so it was easy to get a room. Book early!
