Not the Ritz; Finefor Bryce Canyon Vacation

This is an older motel that has been nicely refurbished. The family that owns the motel has created an entire city - gas station, repair shop, restaurant, store, laundromat. Very pet friendly. Perfect stop after many days of camping. We had a small maintenance issue that was very promptly addressed. The pool and hot tub were very crowded - a second facility would be helpful. But in general, a very fine experience

Never again.

When making our reservation I asked for a room on the ground floor. On the day we arrived, I was told I would get what they had. None of the rooms were ready until 4:00. They would not let anyone check in early. The front desk clerks had a very poor attitude. By that I mean they were just rude. They just laughed at the guests who were waiting to check in. When we got in our room, there was a problem with the bathroom pipes that made a continuous noise. They did move us to another room. Never again.

It's convenient outside the Bryce canyon.

If you want an uncomfortable bed, dirty towels waiting for you, a pool half a mile away (the hotel claims it is a pool with interior corridors to your room- there are like 10 different buildings in this hotel), a hot tub that fits 8 in a hotel with literally 1000s of people (that youll never get in), a room that has no sound insulation, bad plumbing that scalds you in the shower, toilets and drains that barely work, an overpriced restaurant with poor service... then this is the place for you. The only good thing about this hotel was its close to bryce.

Good time!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was good, the food at the rest was good and we enjoyed the store. I'd stay here again.
