Not worth it!!

The hotel hasn't been updated in about 10 years- the hotel was so musty and moldy that my husband and I couldn't stay there due to our allergies immediately acting up upon entering the room!! Don't do it... we left 15 minutes after check in and almost didn't get a room because everyone else was booked up- yet the Ramada was dead, go figure!!!

Rooms not ready at check in time

Check in time for this hotel is 4:00 pm. This most recent stay was my second stay at this hotel. Both times now, my room was not ready when I arrived. After waiting about 10 minutes, they said the room was ready. We checked into the room, and the AC was so loud and noisy you couldn't hear yourself think. I called the front desk and asked if we could move to another room, but they said they didn't have any more ready yet and they would send someone from maintenance to fix the AC. 20 minutes passed, with no sign of the maintenance person, so I went back to the desk and they did move us to another room. This could be a nice place to stay, as the room is fine, but customer service and timeliness of housekeeping service needs much improvement.

THE CONDITION OF THE HOTEL IS TERRIBLE. IT iIS DO FRIENDLY WHICH WE DID NOT KNOW AND THE ROOMS SHOW IT. The carpet and room smelled. the tub had mold. The corridors were dingy and univiting. Overall for the price - even the discount price- it was too much. I would have had a better room at one of the cheap hotels paying full price. The rating it was given misled me into thinking that the room price given was reasonable. I paid way too much for the room .

Guest rooms need upgrade

Beautiful grounds & building exterior don't match the guest rooms & hallways. Halls are dingy, dark & stairwells are dirty. No elevator to 2nd floor rooms. The lobby & dining room are lovely example of colonial setting, in stark contrast to the room areas. Non-smoking room smelled heavily of old cigarette smoke from carpets, drapes & bedding. Carpet stained. Everything here needs upgrade. There is no fire sprinkler system & the fire-rated doors to stairs have broken closers with doors wedged open(a real fire hazard). The food in the dining room (breakfast buffet) was great & service perfect. This could & should be a 4 star hotel. Spend the money, This property deserves the best!

Employees are not friendly and helpful on giving you information about places. We had to drive all around to find restaurants. They looked unhappy when a visitor arrives. Also it needs to be renovated. Too old and sad.
