The Hotel Opera is in a fantastic location, within 400 metres of both the Stroget and Nyhavn Canal. The price includes a buffet breakfast of ceral cold meats and pastries which was very good. The rooms were clean, well appointed (TV, Heaters, Writing desks)and tastefully furnished. The staff were efficient if a little cold.
Unfortunately the Mattresses/ Beds were atrocious, to the extent that we were forced to double over the top (thin mattress) on one of the beds to provide enough support. When we raised the issue with staff we were told that all the beds were like that. If so it is a shame, as hotels are first and foremost places to sleep, and at the prices being charged here, second rate beds are not good enough.
If you don't mind the bed though, the location really is perfect.
