Excellent Value

Just returned from Club Ambiance for a Girls Get Away Weekend. I was a bit concerned about this resort because of all the mixed reviews. I have to say that I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the staff was wonderful, accommodating, and friendly, and they didn?t skimp on the alcohol. This is by no means a fancy resort, but it was certainly clean and tidy. We had a double room, that wasn?t too big, but certainly all we needed. We were able to get TV stations out of NY. Most of the visitors seemed to be from the USA or England If you like long walks on the beach, this isn?t the resort for you, since it is a man made beach and you can?t walk more than 500 feet at a time before running into an obstacle. They do offer a free bike ride every afternoon that takes you to the local public beach and you can walk there. Excursions to Ocho Rios & Dunns Falls are only about 20-25 minutes away and cost about $10/pp for the shuttle ride. If you like more of?small town? sort of atmosphere where you can get to know the people around the neighborhood and you don?t want to drop a lot of money, this is the place for you. If you?re more ?big city? and extravagant you may want to choose another place.

Nice hotel, but too expensive.

A nice hotel, however way too expensive for what the establishment offers. The food selection was horrible. And the between meals snacks consisted of hotdogs and cold pizza. All recreational and game room facilities closed early in the evening leaving only the disco as an option for late night entertainment. The bars closed extremely early and opened extremely late in the morning. The beach was nice however only 3 feet deep at the deepest point and an excessive amount of seaweed and rocks were scattered at the bottom, meaning floating was the only option. The pool facilities were clean and enjoyable and the volleyball beach court was excellent, Nightly entertainment was great and the entertainment crew were friendly and energetic. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were clean and very beautiful. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, the resort was okay, however not a first pick to rush back to anytime soon. Definately not for people who expect a luxury stay.

I have been to Ambiance 3 times with different people every time & it is conclusive. We all love it there! I cannot wait to go back. My friend and I are thinking about making it a regular vacation spot. The staff is amazing, all of them. I am planning another trip for July & it can't get here fast enough :)

My wife and I have just returned from one of the best vacations that we have taken. We have stayed at many larger all inclusives but Club Ambiance beats them all. The grounds are meticulously kept, the food was great and always fresh and the staff could not do enough for you. I have read reviews that have complained about hot water and low pressure but we saw none of it. If anything, we had trouble getting the water cool enough and if turned up the pressure was so high it could blast your skin off. Our only complaint was the small beaches but we managed. The resort is rated at 3 stars but you'll feel like you're at a 5 star. We will definitely be going back.

Pleasant Experience for Fun lovers

I enjoyed my experience at Ambiance. The Staff was wonderful. Food was very good for an all inclusive. I found the facilities to be very good. The beach area was too small and blocked by rocks. I expected a medium to sub par stay; but I was pleasantly surprised with the decor and environment. The facility is working to upgrade the image of the resort. The entrance of the resort is very, very deceptive. We really enjoyed the fact that it was Adults Only. The resort truly had a more intimate feel versus larger hotels like the RIU or Breezes. If you like to meet people and enjoy daily activities, this is place for you. The food was of very good quality and I was so thrilled that on a daily basis I was able to taste native dishes. The drinks were fantastic! Regarding activities and entertainment: The staff works really hard to include every guest. Live music everynight.... although I was somewhat tired of the Musicians after day 3 or 4 were good. The activities were really fun! Again the staff is the key to success for this resort. The grounds of the property were well kept and it was refreshing to paddle boat, kayak, snorkel etc for free. After the property has completed its' rennovations, I would go back. Room: Our room had a great view of the pool and the ocean. It was a nice size room; but our water pressure and temperature was absolutely aweful. I think we had hot water only 3 or 4 days out of our stay. Despite that I really enjoyed myself. Overall it's a great place to meet people and relax. If you're super anal and uptight this isn't the place for you.
