We travel a lot, and we will never return to this resort. Or what's left of what might have been a nice resort. The beach is beautful and the rooms are large. There is nothing else nice to say. The RCI staff is extremely rude. It takes a taxi to get anywhere - food, groceries, casino, shopping. The taxi driver was nice! Even the beautiful beach was hampered by the constant harrassment to pay $2/chair, pay to have hair braided, or listen to Bahama Mama music. Unless you dive, there are no activities on site.

Xanadu forced us to take on a timeshare that we are currently fighting to get off our credit

By far the WORST hotel experience I have ever had. All places to eat at resort were closed, when dinner served, NO SEAFOOD, UNBELIEVABLE, have to taxi to eat. Watch out for glass on walkway to resorts beach, girlfriend cut foot bad on a big piece of glass, glass still there 3 days later when we left. When carrying my girl with gushing foot for a first aid kit, guest services told me to hold on, could care less. We couldn?t get in touch with manager whole trip. Worst place I have ever been STAY AWAY!! WILL RUIN VACATION

My friend and I went back to the Xanadu for the second time and was a little disapointed. The beach is so beautiful and the food in both the indoor and outdoor cafe was wonderful. But the place was completely deserted and the desk staff was not very welcoming at all. Also alot of things were closed like the activities and poolside bar because of the lack of people. I am not sure if we were too early or what but we felt alone and would have to take expensive cab rides to be around other people.

Don't stay here spend a little extra money and stay elsewhere. Rooms where cold, dirty, NO KING BEDS, they wouldn't give you extra towels for showering, no refrigerators, ice machines don't work. WAS ATTACKED NUMEROUS TIMES BY STAFF TO VIEW TIMESHARE PROPERTIES.......JUST SAY NO!!!!!!!!Went to Nassau/Paradise Island 3 yrs ago beautiful!!!! Would go back to Nassua never Freeport Area.
