Of all the hotels at Sun City, the Palace of the Lost City is the most luxurious. We had planned to stay for two nights, but shortly after we got into our room and looked around the resort a little, we decided to hang the cost and extend our stay for one night. There is so much to do in Sun City that two nights just isn't enough.
We had a lovely room, and in every way, it was luxurious, except for two things which mean a lot to me. I love to have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, and there were no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. The room-service coffee was so terrible that I didn't order it a second time.
The other slightly annoying thing was that we had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool, but the wall of the balcony was solid, and there were no chairs to sit outside. So when we were in the room, one person had to sit on the one comfy chair, and the other person either had to sit on the bed or on one of the straight-backed chairs. It's not such a tragedy to have to do this, but in a luxury hotel, I would not have expected this.
Still, we enjoyed our stay but wouldn't stay there again. We've seen about all there is to see.
