Not for Mature People
Stayed in a twin room facing the metro/tube station. Room was very small - gave me the cramped feeling. Beds were sleep-able but not that comfy. Noisy - from the metro coming and going and also from the teenagers staying there.
Bathroom was tiny. I am pretty small, barely 5 feet in height and I couldn't move in the bathroom without knocking the wall or the sink.
Breakfast was free but so-so. The bread was a bit hard. After a couple of mornings, my bf and I gave up and started looking somewhere else for breakfast.
Location: Close to the metro/tube station but definitely not in the city centre. About 45-60 minutes by metro. No direct metro to the city centre.
Advice:
There is a small bakery nearby close to the metro station entrance. And also a small but very nice Italian restaurant. There is also a Burger King nearby.
Not comfy for a mature person who wants to really enjoy Berlin.

Inexpensive and only a few blocks from the train. Yes, the rooms are small and no frills, but they were clean and secure. The only thing was there was a waiter who was overly friendly--but harmless--who i wound up having to avoid.

Room was small and not very modern..television needed repair. Staff was great, however.
