costly to make phone calls

I have been travelling frequently and internationally. This is the hotel that charges ridicously high fees for using the services that I feel I have to let others know. here are a few examples, local call, 1GB/min (that is about USD2/min) call to US, 10GB/min (that is about USD20/min) call to Japan, 27GB/Min(that is about >USD50/min) pay a fee to use the fitness room (not sure how much it costs because I decided not to...) Service room charges 5GB tray service. what is that, for using the tray... When you make the reservaction, make sure you ask if the rate includes tax or not. Good luck

Smokey with expensive internet

We had the "Do not Disturb" set on our room but came back to find the maid in the middle of vacuuming the room anyway and had to get her to leaveLobby was _very_ smokey. The in-room internet connection fee was incorrectly explained (several times) as 50p/min with a max of ?15 in a 24hr period. But it is really a max of ?15 per session (for our first day we were charged ?25).Wireless connection fees (for the only in lobby wireless) are egregiously expensive: ?100 for 12hours!

Good Location

Not central London but a great location for the views of Tower Bridge, the Thames, St Katherine's Dock & easy access to many attractions. Very helpful and pleasant staff; rooms OK. Breakfast OK but limited variety and average quality.

Out of the way location

The hotel's location is a little out of the way. I was hoping it would be more centralized to pubs/cafes. Great view of the tower and bridge! Bad airconditioning and the rooms were not updated like the lobby (lobby was impressive). Clean bathroom.

Thistle Tower

The whole Thistle chain is fairly similar - fantastic! I stayed here early this year when down in London for interview, and I was suitably overwhelmed by the immense super-king-size bed, three telephones in the room and the unrivaled view of Tower Bridge at night.

The breakfast was a self-service buffet and the excellent standards of service followed through here. All the food was great, with a vast choice (five types of eggs, thousands of fruit juices...!). I even earned 750 BA Miles for the one night''s stay.

If you need a bit of luxury, try the Thistle Tower!
