This is a clean & comfortable hotel. Staff are helpful and polite. The hotel is about 20 minutes outside of London proper, so you can take a bus into Victoria station or a train into Waterloo station. However, we actually liked the location of the hotel as London is a very busy place with lots of people, and it was nice to get out of the city and away from the crowds at night.
My only real complaint about the hotel were the other guests. It appeared that the hotel catered largely to international travelers and I'm sorry to say they were incredibly rude, and often loud. Our room was next to the staircase, and people dragged their bags down the stairs each morning behind them (thumping emphatically on each stair), despite the fact that there was an elevator. There were often kids running up and down the hall at night. Things were quiet from about 10pm until about 6-7am so you could sleep, but it was irritating if you wanted to sleep past 7am.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay in this part of town again - and probably would consider this hotel again as well, as long as we could get a room away from the stairs. :) It was nice going over to know the Holiday Inn brand, and that what we were expecting to get was delivered.
great place

This hotel is a little out of the way, but worth it. Very clean and quiet with excellent service. The hotel sits by 2 major bus routes and a train route, so getting downtown takes a little figuring out, but it is not hard. The area seeemd very safe to me.
The rooms were compact, and not overly exciting as far as decoration, but very clean and excellent showers.
The price was very reasonable and I would definately stay again. Very good restaurants near by( Thai, Indian, Gastropub), but don't eat at the one they give you a coupon for.
Nice Looking Hotel

I just got back from my trip to London and stayed there for a couple of nights (stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany). It was a nice hotel for the money, the staff was friendly. We had to do without a toilet for the first night, but it was fixed by the time we got back the next/same day it was reported. The one concern is did they even clean the toilet after the last guests checked out...normally when I clean a toilet flushing is involved. The room was great, the beds were nice. I loved the welcome screen they had on the TV with the personalized message. There is a train station (not the tube) that connects you to Waterloo station (London Eye, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, river cruise tours, and etc.) You can also take the train to Waterloo to connect to the Underground or "Tube" which will take you all over. I bought a 3 day pass for 40 pounds at the underground station at Heathrow (good on the bus, train, tram, and underground, make sure it's zones 1-6). The train from the hotel (Wandsworth town) takes only a few minutes (I think platform 4 headed to Waterloo from Wandsworth Town). Make sure you research the train times that they run, one hotel staff member almost made us miss our flight saying it will be open at 0430-0500 when it's actually 0530 hrs--luckily I asked another right before we check out and took a 40 Pound (check out staff person called and said) which turned into 45 Pound (cab driver upped it) taxi ride to Heathrow. I would consider the hotel again...nice facilities and the breakfast was good. There is a bp petrol station/convenience store next door for food snacks & McDonalds nearby.
room was clean staff was pleasant..but if your a nonsmoker..beware!!

The staff was very helpful. I was very lost when I arrived at the concierge took the time to help me find the tour company I was using the next day, plus helped me choose the best bus route to take. Anything I needed was provided for, the rooms were very clean and great care was taken. The breakfast they have is very basic, but when I wanted a real breakfast I just went into the city of London. The location is ok, so to speak, it is about a 20 minute bus ride from the center of London, but this one isn't near any tube stops, though it is near a National Rail station. Anyone who is looking for a place to sleep while they tour London would be happy with this selection, there are no bells and whistles, but really, if you are going to London, you really don't need any distractions at the hotel.
