The hotel has the best location in Goa, their private sit out rooms has the most beautiful view.... Must stay in the hotel

The food at Thai Restaurant on Taj property made us sick because of which we could not go para-sailing or scuba diving the next day. They did call in a doctor for us, though. They tried to charge full room rent for the second and third day, however, those room rents were significantly lower than first day's rent. Otherwise, hotel was very nice, clean, helpful staff, private beach is not the best and a lot smaller. If we are paying prime dollars to stay, then we should get prime service also. We lost a day due to sickness that can not be replaced.

Fort Aguada Beach Resort --- Rooms

There is a homely, lived-in quality to the Fort Aguada, thanks to very comfortable, if slightly old-fashioned furniture; adding immensely to a feeling of relaxation. Just the antidote for guests tired of modern high-tech glitz or over-the-top opulence! All the rooms are equipped with TV’s and tea/coffee-makers; and are slightly on the small side by current luxury standards in Goa. The air-conditioning could do with an overhaul in some rooms, but would be adequate for most people; the bathrooms feature bathtubs and up-to-date fittings (with the glaring omission of toilet hand-sprays), well-maintained. Speaking of which, the Housekeeping in this hotel is exemplary in its cleanliness and neatness; the staff is professional and courteous, responding promptly and pro-actively to any special requests by day or night. My rooms of choice would be the Terrace Suites on the left side of the hotel (numbers 301-304, 311-314, 201 and 208). These offer stunning views of the entire seascape from private terraces (while those in the right wing look onto garden-views with a sliver of sea), and some have cosy, romantic sitting-rooms with french windows; others contain spacious bed-sit and dressing areas. They are the best accommodations in the main building; though guests wanting even more privacy and exclusivity would opt for one of the hillside "Hermitage" villas, with transport to and from the main hotel available at beck-and-call. Those on a budget should consider the new "sea-view rooms with sitouts" on the ground floor—not quite so luxurious or private but with that amazing view! And those with a taste for the outdoors would be more than happy with the mountain-top tents.
