...found this little place down the street from the Goldener Hirsh. Because of my own error in booking hotels, I was one night's stay short and needed a place to stay. As it turned out, it was the best mistake I've made! ...While I'm not complaining about the Goldener Hirsh, this place was wonderful; as well as economical. Breakfast: Free Internet: Free The place; as I imagine all older European hotels are small, tidy, clean but wonderfully utilitarian. The hotel has been around since 1407. I happened to also notice Maria Von Trapp stayed here for a night. [...I'll leave that to you to find out how I knew. ;) ] ...and located smack dab in the middle of the shopping district; you'll waste no time going from your room to the cobble stone streets & wonderfully old haunts of this enchanting town. ...stay here, you won't regret it. ...may you have many wonderful memories in all your travels!
