Excellent Hotel

The Hotel was as fantastic. My wife and I stayed 4 nights are we were very pleased with all aspects of the Hotel. The restaurants were fantastic. I recommend the breakfast package. It is well worth the extra cost. The front desk was always helpful and the room service was very prompt. We didn't use the pool, fitness or business center so I can not comment on them. We are staying there again on our next trip to Bangkok in early 2009. I highly recommend this Hotel.
Novotel on Siam Square

This hotel I believe is situated in a great location. Very close to the BTS sky train, and close to shops and more shops. There are quite a few shopping centres nearby.With the close location of the skytrain, we were able to come and go as we pleased.The food in the hotel was quite good. The breakfast that was provided was quite decent. A good variety of foods, from Western to Eastern foods. Room Service was great.Cable in the room was enjoyable. A variety of local TV and Western TV—ranging from national geographic to movies. The room that we stayed in was a deluxe room. It was very spacious and quite clean. The bathroom was quite roomy, and the staff were very pleasant and nice.We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square

I toured a room while I was staying at the Westin, and it reminded me of the room at the M Hotel in Singapore. Clean, contemporary decor, and reasonably priced.
So when I had to spend the night in BKK to travel home in the morning, I stayed at the Novotel. However, the room I received was nowhere near the room that I toured, and looked NOTHING like the room view from their website. It smelled so bad, and the door would not close. I switched rooms and the second one was much better, but it still smelled.
The room was slightly dated and worn. I would not stay here again. The location is VERY congested in the early evening, however, you are close to shopping areas and there are lots of tourists here. Hard Rock Cafe is in walking distance.
