In essence, this is a hotel aimed at the business market, but it is sufficiently separate to warrant this as a romantic, or relaxing, hotel in its own right. The conference centres, and office facilities, are separate from the hotel and in no way detract from the experience. The good thing for me about this hotel is that it is on the outskirts of the city, in a quiet residential area, away from the noisy evenings of temple bar. This brings me to a key point about this hotel; unless you are prepared to undertake a little walking in order to get to it and to the centre then this hotel is most likely not for you. The rooms are of a decent size, rooms are clean and comfortable, and all the expected amenities are present; satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities, towels, toiletries, and a gym downstairs.

For all people contemplating this pleasant quiet hotel, here is how to get to it: After the bus from the airport drops you off on O'Connell Street, follow the road down and around, in more or less a straight line until you arrive at St. Stephens Green (ask if you get lost or use a map). This takes about 10 minutes, and on the right of the park entrance, there should be a tram waiting. This is the green line of the LUAS light rail system, so hop on board the tram and carry on down the line until you reach Balally. Leave Balally station via the steps and to your right should be a big shopping centre with a Tesco, amongst other things. Cross over the road and walk past a stream under a bridge, you should see a longish road leading up (take the second one on your left, not the first—the second is more notable due to its houses). Walk up this road up for 10-15 minutes until you come to a corner leading up a rural road and the IMI residence is on this corner. You will know it by the bus stop on the left-hand side of the road. This all sounds very complicated, but if you ask it shouldn't be too difficult. A simpler option would be a taxi, but if you are more open to exploration, like me, then walking is a nice option. It is in handy proximity to the Dundrum town centre (really just a shopping centre). The hotel staff in particular are very friendly, and always willing to offer help and advice in terms of getting around the city and to other destinations. Overall, this hotel is ideally recommended for people who wish for a secluded trip but with access to city centre amenities that are only 15 minutes tram ride from the hotel.
